Absolutely zero belief from family or friends. It was so hard to see it and know it and find any one who believed in it. Ultimately I burned out having to work on it day and night while working full time. Eventually I finished it and immediately I was getting people buying a course. However, by the time it started to take off, I was emotionally, physically spent that I caved in. Everyones non belief became my non belief and I stopped. Eleven years later, Udemy, Universal Class, Alison, all took off and have the market in online learning… now all the naysayers understand what I was trying to do, and they tell me, “hey, you should do something like that”. I could nearly drop dead in laughter….I am picking it up again, and guess what…. my significant other just yelled at me asking me…. “what are you doing?!” This time, I replied, “something that makes me happy.”
