5 Keys To Turn From A Wantrepreneur Into A Entrepreneur

Wanting to start a first business is like wanting children. Everybody loves the idea of it, but it may put some restrictions on your life and will mostly likely put a lot of pressure on you. Many people talk about how much they really want to start business, they always talk about how creative they are, how many ideas they have in their mind, why their idea couldn’t fail. However, their ideas rarely reach the execution stage. You ‘want’ to be an entrepreneur, but you for various reasons you keep stuck being a wantrepreneur. With that in mind, I’m going to share with you what the 7 key differences are between a wantrepreneur and an entrepreneur so you can adjust your behavior accordingly.

Don’t Wait For The Right Time

One of the biggest reasons wantrepreneurs aren’t able to turn into an entrepreneur is because of the so called excuse: time. They come up with an idea that may have great potential, but they never act upon that idea simply because they wait to jump in the market at the right time. What they don’t seem to understand is that the timing will never be right, meaning that there will always be something that you’d like to see different. For example, you’ll always have to deal with massive competition or maybe the market might be in a downward spiral. The point is that in 99.9% of the cases there will be always something off. A great entrepreneur distinguishes himself from the wantrepreneur to launch their service/product, despite the circumstances. Just make a start, no matter how small.

Stop Complaining & Overthinking

Complaining is one of the biggest setbacks you create for yourself. Often it starts with complaining and then it leads into overthinking, soon you get to the point that you’ll create problems that don’t actually exist. And as you might already know, whatever you put in your mind that determines the outcome. The key difference between an entrepreneur and a wantrepreneur doesn’t lie in the complaining part, because an entrepreneur is a human too and complaining is part of the human DNA. Instead it lays in the part about doing something about the complaints. An entrepreneur will be adaptable enough to figure out a solution for the problem he or she faces. A wantrepreneur just complains and does nothing about the situation, hoping that it will resolve itself. So, instead of wasting all your energy complaining about all the things that are wrong, invest that energy in coming up with solutions.

No Such Thing As Problems – Motivational Speech:

No Risk: No Reward

Taking risks is scary and it requires a lot of courage. It’s often the case that you have to make decisions based more on your gut feelings than logic or reason. This can be confusing for some, since you’ve been taught from an early age that you have to follow reason in order to be ‘safe’ and to make it in our society. However, if you always play it safe you’ll never really unleash the greatness that lies within you. Wantrepreneurs won’t follow through with their ideas, because they get paralysed with fear when they think about all the things that can go wrong when they take the ‘jump’.

They get so upset about all the things that can go wrong, that they decide to wait for a better moment (see key 1) or that they won’t do anything with their ideas at all. In contrast, entrepreneurs know the risks of failing very well and they’re scared too, but they decide to do it anyway. Why? Because they know that taking risks is part of the game and that it’s the only way to achieve huge accomplishments. They focus on all the things that can happen if it’ll work out. Like Einstein said; ‘’a ship is always safe at the shore –but that is not what it is built for.’’

Venturing out in business requires both planning and risk taking. That’s why it is important that you include risk management as part of your business plan. You can list down all the actions you can take as you deal with the unknown. An entrepreneur should always be open for revision and be prepared for all the risks possible to experience.

Follow Your PASSION Not Money Or Success

All wantrepreneurs have one thing in common: they can’t wait until their business becomes successful, so they can start living “the good life”. There is nothing wrong with this type of motivation, however to be truly successful in life you need to be fulfilled with what you are doing. Wantrepreneurs follow trends that tend to be successful so they can jump right in and take a piece of the cake. They don’t follow their passions or their strengths, they follow the success. Eventually when they don’t achieve the success they want fast enough, they’ll quit. But if they do succeed it usually doesn’t lead to fulfillment on a personal level, since they didn’t follow their passion. Entrepreneurs on the other hand do follow their passions, because that’s what makes them fulfilled and happy. They won’t jump into the next bubble just to make some quick cash before it bursts. They focus on their strengths and what they are ‘naturally’ inclined to. They know that if you’re consistent and put in the work in your passion you will be successful on a financial and a personal level.

Focus On Business Longevity

A major point where a wantrepreneur falls short is having a clear vision. The wantrepreneur only thinks for the short-term. They are so focused on achieving success quickly they sometimes even tend to compromise their business plan and take a few dangerous shortcuts. Wantrepreneurs act rushed & want everything to happen ‘overnight’. However, what wantrepreneurs don’t seem to realize, but entrepreneurs do, is the following; what comes easy won’t last and what lasts won’t come easy. A true entrepreneur has a vision for what he or she wants to accomplish. The vision gets slowly achieved by setting goals. They know that there is no such thing as an ‘overnight success’ and they realize that in order to build business longevity, you need to have a strong foundation on which the business is built. Shortcuts might be helpful in the short-term, but in the long run they’ll compromise your results. Remember, Rome wasn’t built in one day.

There has never been a better time than RIGHT NOW to take that leap of faith and to make things happen. It’s time to put your ideas into actions.

Of course, there are still plenty of reasons you can think of on why you shouldn’t start a business. However, there is one major reason to start a business that that triumphs them all: it’s better to live a life of ‘oh wells’ than looking back thinking ‘what if’.

What does every speaker emphasize when he or she has to inspire and motivate an audience to achieve massive success? To hustle. Hustling is the only variable that is in your control and that you can influence dramatically. This idea by itself already makes some people uncomfortable. The fact that they would have to dedicate their lives completely to achieving their goals, without having almost zero to none time for anything else is for many people a big deal-breaker. However, this potential problem of losing yourself in the process of pursuing success or chasing your goals can be avoided when you’re doing it the right way!

Below are 3 ways to still hustle hard but at the same time not getting fed up with it!

3 Ways Not To Lose Yourself While Pursuing Success

Celebrate your successes

People are always oriented to the future, because they want to have a better life than their past. This mindset is important, because this means that you’re working on yourself consistently to improve yourself. Most people work really hard to achieve a goal that brings them closer to their vision, but surprisingly they fail in the celebration part… That’s right, for once people fail to celebrate the right way. They do celebrate the achievement of their sub-goals, however, excuse my language, they half-ass it! They don’t celebrate their successes enough. When was the last time you celebrated the achievement of a goal so well that you still remember to this present day exactly what you did? If you find it a bit difficult to answer this questions than you need to make some changes in the way you want to achieve success. It’s a lot more important how you get there than when you get there. It’s the journey, with all the highs and lows that will make you appreciate the end-goal the most. Besides that, celebrating your accomplishments is also a very enjoyable thing to do so utilize every opportunity to the fullest when it presents itself to you!

Accept help from others

When we have a specific goal in our mind that we want to accomplish we tend to shut everyone off and focus solely on ourselves and the goal. Of course, getting rid of all the distractions will help you become more productive, but what about the people that care about you and want to help you? You might think that it’s for the best to pursue your dream all by yourself, because you don’t want to burden them with your struggles, but is that really the case? When you accept input and help from others, you have more than one ‘brain’ at your disposal and this increases the chance to acquire more valuable information and insights which can aid the process of getting towards your goal. So you shouldn’t be hesitant to help, you should embrace it. Remember, if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together!

It doesn’t have to happen tomorrow

If you’ve set an amazing goal for yourself one that challenges and excites you, would you even want to accomplish that goal as soon as possible? Chances are you still will, but this isn’t the choice that will make you the most satisfied with your accomplishments. So stop worrying so much about the little things such as; you weren’t as productive as yesterday or that certain things took you longer to accomplish than you expected them to be, because on other days your productivity will be incredible and you’ll get things faster done than ever. So don’t look for the overnight success ‘methods’ and don’t feel like you’re not making progress, because you simply can’t rush what you want to last forever.

Hustling hard is great and yes to achieve massive success, sacrifices are demanded, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t try to minimize those sacrifices as much as possible. Not only will you enjoy the journey much more, but at the same time the quality of your life will also improve, because you won’t feel like you have to give up ‘so much’ to reach your goals. So start applying some of these tips on your journey and the road to success will be much less stressful, though it still will stressful, but hey; no breakthroughs without breakdowns!

The destructive power of the fear of failure is massive. It’s remarkable that the fear of failure is often seen through a negative perspective. So many people talk about failure like it’s the end of the world. It’s often because they’ve had some bad experiences with it in their past. What is seen as a failure is unique to each person. Maybe for some people their first business didn’t work out as they had planned to be or others maybe didn’t get a particular scholarship they had worked their whole life for. Because of those bad experiences these people almost get mentally ‘paralyzed’ with the thought of something that involves potential adversities. If the fear of failure has the capacity to make people stop doing things that involve potential risk then what can it do if we start looking at it through a different way, through a positive way? Most often we learn from our failures after we made a mistake. However the fear of failure, if used properly, gives us the opportunity to prevent these mistakes from happening and can help us to be more efficient, achieve our goals faster and in general to live a better and happier life.

How To Turn The Fear Of Failure Into An Asset For Success:

Fear Of Failure inspires progression

Most people fear that they aren’t making progress in their lives. Some people still forget a lot of things like when they were young, or still don’t show up on time for their appointments. Others might procrastinate a lot and waste their time doing nothing. These are just a few examples that might seem harmless, but if this behavior is a returning phenomenon then this eventually leads to distressing thoughts like beating yourself up on why you never learn from your mistakes. You may begin to feel like you’re stuck in a vicious circle.

In this context you can see failure as unwanted senseless behavior or wasting time. Turn it around; what if you see missed achievements as failure. If you look at it like this then your fear of failure, missed achievements, should drive you to change your behavior. This drive causes you to take control of your life and to do things more efficient since you don’t want to miss out on achievements, because that’s now your ‘fear’. This way you turn your fears into a drive to make progress in your life!

Fear Of Failure inspires you to learn

Nowadays people often feel stressed out about the things they missed out on learning when they were younger or when they had ‘enough time’. For example, you probably know a few people who sometimes talk about how they wished that they had learned how to play an instrument or a foreign language.

Failure in this context is not taking the opportunity to learn and to gain knowledge about new things that you’re curious about. You should take these people that regret passing on opportunities as an example on why you should never stop with learning. You don’t want to have the feeling that when you reflect back at some point in your life and think; ‘oh man, why didn’t I learn this when I had the chance, because it would be so useful right now.’ Use this type of FOF as your motivator to always seek for knowledge in the areas that you’re interested about and to not miss out on opportunities that have the potential to learn you something valuable.

Fear Of Failure inspires you to NEVER SETTLE

The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because so many brilliant ideas are buried there with the same people that created them but unfortunately never manifested their ideas. These people were too afraid to make that first step, to push through the obstacles or maybe they just thought that they didn’t have the skills to bring their ideas to fruition. But what if they could? What if they didn’t let their minds get influenced by the fear of failure in the sense of being ridiculed and laughed at or not being skilled enough?

Instead they could have also thought in a different way about their fears on failure. In the sense that they only had one shot in their life to make their dreams come true. This type of FOF would motivate them to pursue their idea relentlessly and to make it a success. If you decide to use the fear of failure according to this way then trust me, you’re whole perspective on life will change. You’ll take on more opportunities, do more exciting and new things and take more massive action to achieve your goals.

The power of the fear of failure has been for a long time misunderstood. Of course, being afraid to fail is something we all have to deal with in our own ways. However, we all want to live a wonderful life in all the aspects of our lives; spiritually, financially and personally. FOF has the potential to help us achieve this life goal. Using the fear of failure to your advantage can not only make you happier and less scared, but it also gives you the feeling of having more control over your life. And feeling in control of our lives and not being restricted by fears or obstacles opens the door to the life you always wanted for yourself.

5 Reasons Why You’re Not Where You Want To Be In Life & How To Fix It!

At the beginning on our journey to success we all start off very excited and motivated. We don’t mind the amount of hours and the sacrifices for a better tomorrow. Step by step you’re achieving your goals, nothing huge though, but still, it makes you ‘hungry’ for more and excited about what more you’re capable of. So you keep pushing and pushing for more. However after a certain time, those sub-goal achievements won’t give you the same level of satisfaction anymore as they used to be. You desperately want to achieve something major, but it feels like you’re stuck at a dead-end road with the same minor-achievements over and over again and you begin to ask yourself: how much longer is it going to take? And it’s exactly at this moment, to re-evaluate your journey so far and to find out why you aren’t where you want to be.

Here are the 5 reasons that are holding you back from where you want to be in life:

1. Your productivity sucks

Productivity is often confused with hard work. Yes, you should work hard on what you’re trying to accomplish. However, working hard and being productive at the same time is a whole different story. No matter how many hours you put in, as long as you’re not working productive and getting things done, you’re wasting your time. For example, if you’re taking 3 hours of your valuable time to do something that could have been done in 1 hour, then you’ve wasted 2 hours. The only thing you’re doing is delaying the process of getting big results that you so desperately want to achieve.
Recommended to boost productivity and create your dream life: The 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss

2. You’re overthinking

Overthinking situations is something that can really get in the way on your journey to success. It can turn a pro-active person into a passive person, without the person even knowing it. It can create unnecessary problems and it slows down the process of your creative thinking. That’s why you have to understand that things don’t always have to go ‘perfect’ or the way you want them to be. Sometimes ‘letting go’ is actually a good thing. You can’t always control the situation. However, you can always control your response. The sooner you start to realize this, the faster you achieve your goals. So it might be your mindset that’s holding you back from those great achievements.
Recommended to boost your present moment awareness and happiness NOW: The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle

3. Too attached to the vision

People always tell you to have a vision for your life. What is it that you want to achieve in life? When you have vision of what you want to accomplish then no matter how hard the struggle is to get past an obstacle, you’ll find a way. However, getting too attached to the vision can make you forget about the journey, because always comparing yourself to where you want to be in 5 years with where you are right now can be really demotivating, since you always remembering yourself that you still have so many things to accomplish. This can make you doubt yourself and makes you forget about all the things that you’ve already accomplished.
Recommended book on finding your life purpose: Any book or audio by Tony Robbins

4. Not taking enough risks

You want to become successful right? Then why are you taking actions in life that will set you up for a mediocre life? It’s great that you’ve started on your journey to success, but that doesn’t mean that you’re already there! There isn’t one successful person on this planet that became successful without taking risks. Trying to become successful is not something you can do from your comfort zone. You have to make risky choices, hoping that it will turn out for the better. Taking risks is part of the journey to achieve success. Not taking risks is avoiding the opportunity for personal growth and achieving the maximum potential of your life and therefore holding yourself back from big achievements in life.
Recommended on thinking big and achieving BIG: The 10X rule by Grant Cardone

5. You’re in the wrong environment

I know we all have heard the famous saying by Jim Rohn about becoming the average of the 5 people you spent the most time with. However, just because you’ve heard it too often doesn’t mean you actually did something with it. If you find yourself in an environment that doesn’t support, motivate and inspire you to become the best possible version of yourself then change your environment! The sooner you understand that these people hold you back and that you need to surround yourself with the exact opposite of these people, the faster you get the point where you want to be in life.

In sum, it’s a good thing to take some time to reflect on how your journey has been so far, if you feel like you deserve more than what you currently have achieved. Find out what has been going well, but more importantly, find out in which areas you could improve. When you know what to improve you can work efficient and precisely on the things that are holding you back. Because always keep in mind; your current situation isn’t going to be your final destination, it’s up to you which path you’ll take in life.
Recommended and must have book: How win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie

3 Reasons Why You Are Falling Short Of Success And How To Fix It

“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it” – Jordan Belfort

Haven’t you asked yourself many times over and over again what it is that you don’t have in comparison to the successful people in life? Why are you falling short of success? What separates them from you? Is it their work ethic or their circumstances that made them successful? Or maybe they were just lucky…they were in the right place at the right time. But then again, how does one know where to be at when it is the right time? No offence, but if you’ve ever asked yourself questions like these then no wonder why you aren’t successful. Questions like these have one thing in common: they’re always about external factors and never about oneself. You’re asking yourself the wrong questions and you’re avoiding the actual problem on why you fall short to achieve success.

Below are the 3 reasons why you may be falling short of success and how you can fix it

1. You’re thinking short term.

You’re probably thinking: ‘’no, I’m not thinking short term. I want to achieve my goals within 10 years.’’ However, this is exactly what short-term thinking is. You want to achieve success within a certain period. But what happens when you don’t achieve your goals within a certain period? Does that mean you have failed? It will certainly feel like it, but it doesn’t have to mean you actually failed. It could also mean that you just simply need more time to accomplish your goals. But when you’ve put a deadline for yourself to accomplish your goals, you won’t think about any other reasons other than the one that you’ve failed.

Solution: Create a vision for yourself. Having a vision gives you a sense of purpose and direction. You’ll cope much better with short term failures, since you know what the bigger picture looks like. Furthermore, it will also give you a sense of calmness, because you’ll realize that achieving something big doesn’t happen overnight and you’re completely fine with it. Remember: your dream doesn’t have an expiration date.

2. You’re avoiding responsibility.

Not taking responsibility is one of the worst things you can ever do, because if you’re not taking responsibility for your actions in your life, then how can you expect to ever move towards your goals? If you’ve never reviewed your actions then how can you find out what you’re doing right and in which areas you should improve? You’re the only one that’s getting negatively affected by making excuses for yourself or by your procrastination. Avoiding your responsibilities is a sign of immaturity; it’s a sign that you aren’t ready to begin with your journey to success. Basically, you’re saying that you want to be successful, but your actions show differently.

Solution: Find a reason why you should take your responsibility. A great way to do this is to put ‘positive pressure’ on yourself. Let’s say for example, that you want to make your parents proud and want to give them a better life, so you tell them you are going to make sure that they will have anything that they want, when you become successful. When you fail to live up to your word you’re not only letting yourself down, but also your parents. Letting someone else down is a much worse feeling than only yourself. Believe me, you want to avoid this feeling at all cost, because you don’t want to make promises you can’t keep and especially towards people you care about in your life. This additional, but crucial motivation should drive you to go relentlessly after what you want in life with no more excuses!

3. Your ‘Why’ isn’t strong enough

Do you really want to be successful or do you just ‘kinda’ want it? Your ‘Why’ should motivate you and inspire you to do the same thing over and over again with the same excitement each time. Don’t expect to achieve success when you’re only going half in. Your desire to succeed should be much stronger than your fears to fail. If your ‘Why’ isn’t strong enough then you’ll most likely fail. Because when your foundation isn’t build right then every struggle you’ll endure during your road to success will make you doubt yourself and you’ll think every time about giving up whenever you’re facing an obstacle.

Solution:

“When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful”. – Eric Thomas

ET really hits the nail on the head with his famous expression. If you really want to succeed in whatever you’re doing, then you should talk, breath and dream about success. You need to find out what your deepest desires are; why do you feel like you deserve to achieve success? Why you?! Delve deep into your desires and find out what it is that drives you. When you find those ‘core’ reasons, write them down. Reaffirm yourself every day of these reasons about why you want to be successful, until it’s ‘stuck’ in your head just like the alphabet! You need to internally set yourself up for success before you expect success on the outside and reaffirming yourself on a daily basis of your ‘Why’ is the best way to do that.

I hope that you realize by now, that you need to stop with questioning yourself and blaming external factors for not having achieved the success you seek. You can accomplish big things in your life. However in order to do so, you first need to have the right ‘foundation’ on which your success will be built!

Nowadays it has become the norm to look for so-called ‘hacks’ to achieve your dreams faster. For example who hasn’t heard from articles like; hacks to more productivity, hacks to more execution, hacks to more sales and so forth. You name it and there is a so-called hack for it. Well I can definitely agree with the fact, that for example, if you want to know how to be more productive and you find an article on how to accomplish it, that you should implement it in your daily routine. But these hacks are all adjustments to a routine that is actually already incorrect. I mean, what’s better; twitching and tweaking your daily routine or just completely erasing it and learning a better one. That’s why it’s more important to take a good look at yourself and find out why things aren’t working the way you would like them to be or why you aren’t where you want to be.

3 Reasons Why You Haven’t Achieved Your Dreams Yet

1. Lack of execution

You might think that you’re already working very much and that might be true, but working and executing are two different things. Most ‘dreamchasers’ have this belief that they’re working really hard. They’re early risers and late sleepers hoping that it one day will all pay off. This picture that I just painted for you sounds familiar right? I agree that someone who wants to live their dreams will have to work long hours sometimes, it’s inevitable. However, how often do you postpone complicated things until later on the day and start with the easy things first and eventually you ‘don’t feel like it at the end of the day’ so you simply delay it until tomorrow? Or how often do you feel like you take too much time for something that could have been done in half the amount of time you’re spending it on. If you’re lacking execution, you’re not setting yourself up directly for failure. You’re setting yourself up for a potential failure. Because you’ll keep asking yourself where are all the results of the work (read hours) are, when in fact you weren’t really productive during those hours. So you’re the one that’s basically withholding yourself from the progress towards achieving your dreams.

2. The need for approval

The graveyard is the most creative and wealthiest place on earth, you know why? Because many unknown people who unfortunately have passed away had ingenious and great ideas during their lives, but never acted upon them, because of one thing: fear. They were afraid of being different and standing out from the crowd, because they feared being judged and being criticized. The one thing many people don’t get is that when you want to follow your dreams, you should be prepared to be doubted and tested.

Unfortunately, many people have the desire to feel liked by anyone. They make decisions based on what other people may think of them, instead of what they actually want in their lives. With the consequence of living someone else’s life, instead of their own and not ending up where they want to be in their life.

3. Lack of focus

Most people nowadays don’t even realize how divided their focus and attention really is. For example, in today’s world you really have the ‘world’ in the palm of your hand; your smartphone. How often do you check your smartphone for new text messages, social media updates and other app notifications? Or how often do people come to you who want something from you and you can’t say no? These little moments of distractions might seem harmless, but when these moments are consistently happening in your life, you might end up with having a big problem. Because you’re so caught up with the daily ‘struggles’ of life, it absorbs your focus and attention from where it should belong: your goals. Not being able to focus on what really matters delays process of you achieving your goals and therefore also the road to achieving your dreams

In sum, I hope that by mentioning these 3 reasons you’ve started to evaluate your own journey honestly. By taking sometimes a moment for yourself to reflect back on your journey and try to look at yourself through a third person perspective. This way you can see what has been going well so far and what you can improve. By recognizing what you’re doing wrong and right and applying changes where needed, you’re guaranteeing yourself of achieving your dreams and living a successful and happy life.
