Who is the greatest football player of all time? The G.O.A.T? Football is the regarded as the number one sport in the world with over 4 billion followers. To put things in perspective, there is a total of 7 billion people in the world, and half of them love football. So it’s not easy to determine who is the greatest football player of all time.

With so much love and hype, this sport has seen thousands of footballers in its lifetime. But only a rare few ever steal the hearts of their fans on an international level.

Pele is often regarded as the greatest football player of all time by many of his generation. He first played on an international level for Brazil at a young age of 16. And just after one year, he was playing so well that his teammates insisted the national coaching authorities to put him in the 1958 World Cup team. Although he was injured in the 1958 World Cup, he still managed to score the winning shot against Wales in the quarterfinals, and two in the final against Sweden.

He played for the Brazilian team Santos from 1956 to 1974, scoring 646 goals, and for the USA team New York Cosmos from 1975 to 1977, scoring 37 goals. Pele is the only player that has been in a team that won three world cups.

On August 26, history will be made with the McGregor Vs Mayweather fight. Two of the greatest fighters of our time will be facing each other in the boxing ring. And millions of people around the world are in absolute awe because of the sheer audacity shown by McGregor to challenge the greatest boxer of our generation and perhaps of all time.

The McGregor vs Mayweather press conferences in July were full of show-off and trash talk. Each fighter was trying to one-up the other with cocky remarks. While McGregor used his smooth verbal onslaught to dominate Mayweather, Mayweather used the power of money and numbers to show his superior status in the world of fighting. He literally showered money all over McGregor to show that he is in his own league. 

McGregor has lost three fights in his career compared to an astounding zero number of losses for Mayweather. But this didn’t shake McGregor’s confidence one bit on stage.

Conor has certainly gained a lead in the talking game not only in this fight but all throughout his career. But as they say, talk is cheap. Inside the ring, anything can happen. Come August 26, the McGregor Vs Mayweather fight will reveal who was the better fighter all along. 

Conor McGregor: Why Is He So Good?

Conor relies on the power of belief and the law of attraction to master the art of fighting. In an interview, a journalist asked McGregor for his advice on success. McGregor told him, “act and you will become”. This is the law of attraction at its finest. We can will things into existence if our thoughts and actions are aligned with our intentions.

But life wasn’t always so bright for McGregor. He comes from a humble background. His dad was a taxi driver in Dublin and he relied on welfare money to survive in tough times. But fast forward to today, he is living the luxurious life, full of Rolls Royces, mink clothing, and expensive watches, and doesn’t hesitate one bit to show off.

He’s albeit in too much love with the expensive lifestyle. In one press conference, he brought attention to his clothing saying that, “These custom made suits aren’t cheap. This solid gold pocket watch – three people died making this watch.” Oh yes, he likes to show off.

Mayweather has been undefeated so far, even when pit against the greatest boxers of all time. And truth be told, no fighter can get lucky 49 times in a row. It takes real talent and years of grinding at your craft to reach the level of mastery Floyd has attained.

We all have seen great athletes like LeBron James, Tom Brady, and even Muhammad Ali – who have ruled in their respective sports. But each one of them had their share of losses. But not Mayweather – this man is as close to perfection as one can ever imagine.

It’s an oft repeated adage: get dressed for success, but do our clothes really make a difference to our ability to perform and succeed? There’s no doubt that clothing says a lot about an individual, but does it really determine their success or not? Many studies show that the clothing an individual wears can affect both their mental and physical performance. Although these studies have yet to branch out of the laboratory, there is a significant body of research that suggests that wearing professional attire can have a biological impact on the wearer. In the following article, we’ll dig into this topic and see just kind of a difference – if any – a sharp suit might make to your mindset.

The Case for Suits

Undoubtedly, there are certain professions where particular attire is standard, if not required, in order to succeed. For instance, anyone trying to make a legal career or a career in finance won’t get very far without a tie around their neck. These profession remain doggedly traditional in sartorial terms. Barristers (attorneys) in the UK, for instance, still wear robes – a practice that has its roots in the early medieval period.

Clearly, wearing a suit can also confer a degree of status on the wearer. In recent years, there have been several studies that suggest that wearing smart clothing can have a measurable impact on an individual’s ability to perform. Recent research from the Yale School of Management suggests that dressing for success does have a positive impact on an individual’s ability to perform. Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, confidence is similarly a matter of subjectivity and only the wearer need know the quality of the clothing worn. A lot depends on the type of work that an individual might be doing. Clearly, certain clothes suit certain occasions and professions. Of course, the thought leaders in Silicon Valley work in creative enterprises where it’s commonplace to play around with status symbols, and therein lies the rub. Although careers often determine clothes one might be able or expected to wear, it’s still worth asking: who are we wearing these clothes for? If it’s the case that wearing professional attire has an impact on performance, then I would suggest that’s an attitude in need of changing. Fundamentally, the only person who is entitled to judge the clothes you wear is yourself. It’s simply a matter of mindset; you need to free yourself from those inhibitions and anxieties that might prevent you from performing. The person whose opinion matters most is your own. If you’re comfortable and feel professional, then you’ll feel more able to succeed.

If wearing a suit or smart clothing feeds into the mind-set you need to succeed then by all means do it. What matters is a sense of self-worth and self-respect; the confidence that whatever you might face you can succeed and overcome. Of course, it needn’t to be a suit and, as everyone knows, there are such things as poorly fitting suits. If you want to dress for success, it’s best simply to focus on the fit and quality of your clothing. What we’re talking about is a winning mindset and that, as we’ve written elsewhere, is vital for success.
