Eric Thomas’ Top 10 Rules For Success

1- Know what you want.

If you don’t know what you want, how will you know what to say yes to in your life? Stop taking every body else’s leftovers and step up and take what you deserve!

2- Work on your gift.

We all have our own individual talents, gifts and strengths. But those natural gifts will only become truly great by refining and nourishing them. Natural ability will get you started, but commitment and determination to achieve greatness is what will get you to where you want to be.

3- No excuses.

Stop using your circumstances, finances or current position in life as an excuse to justify why you aren’t working towards your goals. You are in charge. If you aren’t where you want to be, take a look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly- WHY? Take responsibility for you life once and for all.

4- Upgrade your values.

Your values dictate your behaviours. And your behaviours create your results. If you want to a different result, you need to change your behaviour.

5- You reap what you sow.

Nothing in life is free. It is up to you to determine the course of your life. If you want success, you need to do what it takes, daily, to get there. Don’t focus so much on being successful. Focus on solving problems, helping others, and adding value to people’s lives, and success will come.

6- Education is the great equaliser.

If you are at the bottom, you need to learn. If you are at the top, you still need to learn. Never, ever, ever stop growing and educating yourself.

7- What is your WHY?

Why do you wake up in the morning and hustle? Why do you do what you do? Knowing the answer to this question is the single most important thing to know about yourself if you want to become successful. When you know WHY you are doing what you do, you won’t ever quit, even on a bad day.

8- Have boundaries.

If you want to be a huge success, you have to be strict on yourself with how you spend your energy. Distractions will come in many forms, family, friends, TV, but you have to make sure that your time is being spent wisely.

9- Speak from the heart.

Transparency is attractive. Don’t be afraid to open up to the world and let yourself be seen.

10- Succeed as bad as you want to breathe.

Everybody wants to be successful. But not everybody is willing to do the work that it takes to become successful. When you are willing to get so uncomfortable, so out of your depth, so blind that you have no other choice but to be successful, THEN you will become successful. The only question you need to ask yourself is this. Am I willing?

Norman Vincent Peale was an American minister and author, made famous by his powerful and inspirational church sermons and later by his book ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’. His teachings empowered people to create their own happiness and peace of mind, and that our lives can be full of joy and satisfaction. Here are 9 Thought Provoking Norman Vincent Peale Quotes.

1- Watch your manner of speech if you wish to develop a peaceful state of mind. Start each day by affirming peaceful, contented and happy attitudes and your days will tend to be pleasant and successful. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

Words become actions. Setting your day up with a positive intention empowers you and puts you in the right mindset to go after your goals.

2- Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

How is anyone going to believe in you if you don’t? Trust in yourself and your capabilities.

3- There is a real magic in enthusiasm. It spells the difference between mediocrity and accomplishment. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

Enthusiasm creates enthusiasm. Enthusiastic people still have bad days, but they don’t let challenges bring them down.

4- The way to happiness: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Scatter sunshine, forget self, think of others. Try this for a week and you will be surprised. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

Happiness is not as complicated as we make it. At the end of the day, happiness comes from being in service to others and knowing that you have done your best to achieve your personal goals.

5- Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

Even if you have no money, you can still have a whole lot of heart. Your financial position doesn’t define you, your character does.

6- Plant seeds of expectation in your mind; cultivate thoughts that anticipate achievement. Believe in yourself as being capable of overcoming all obstacles and weaknesses. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

Visualise yourself achieving success. Know deeply in your mind and soul that it will happen. You are capable of great things.

7- Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result but also the cause of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

Don’t let your fear of inadequacy paralyse you. Just start!

8- The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself, the more energy you will have. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

Having a vision for your life that is greater than yourself is, without a doubt, the best motivator on the planet.

9- If you put off everything till you’re sure of it, you’ll never get anything done. Norman Vincent Peale Quotes

Life is too short to sit around waiting until you’re “ready”. Ready never happens. Ready comes as a result of the work you do while you’re learning to be ready. Make a start today and bring your dreams to life.

LYRICS For Believe Motivational Music Track:
BELIEVE
Why is it we don’t believe it ourselves?
Why is it that as soon as things get tough in our lives we start doubting ourselves
We start thinking that we may not make it through
Stressing worrying imagining things that may go wrong in the future

I’ll tell you the human mind is powerful but it is also DESTRUCTIVE
It can be your greatest friend or your worst enemy.

The person you see reflecting in the mirror will always provide your greatest challenges in life.

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE
control of your mind.

Conquer yourself and you can conquer anything in this world

Yeah it’s easy to be positive when everything is going your way – but are you going to be one of the very few who STAND UP when things are tough, when everything is going against you.
THAT’S WHEN YOU MUST SHOW YOURSELF
THAT’S WHEN YOUR CHARACTER WILL SHINE THROUGH
THAT’S WHEN YOUR STORY WILL BE BORN!
Your story of success

You ain’t building no STORY if you give up.
The world is full of people who gave up.
THE WORLD NEEDS HOPE
The world needs you to STAND UP – to fight through your challenging moments to SHINE through the darkness

BELIVE IN YOURSELF
THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT
STAY HUNGRY
Hungry for success
HUNGRY FOR MORE

Most people are bloated with ordinary
They are full of average.
Have an appetite for EXTRA-ORDINARY
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE DOUBTERS
BUT IF YOU STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF & BELIVE
Then one day will be your moment.

Remember … anything is possible for those who believe.
Keep your dreams alive.
Understand that in order to achieve anything of great value you must suffer & endure.

YOU ARE DESTINED FOR SUCCESS!

ONE DAY THIS WORLD WILL TAP YOU ON THE SHOULDER & WHISPER…
“It’s your time to shine”
