If you’re like most people, the end of the year is a time for reflection. It’s a time to look back on your wins, losses, and what you want in the future. I recommend you do more than set resolution (as they almost always fail by February) and instead focus on long-term life changes.

Instead of saying “I want to lose 10 pounds or I want to make more money” you should try to start aligning everything in your life toward a common goal or dream. Spend some time at the end of December and figure out what you want to do in 2019.

And before setting any resolutions, ask yourself, “Who do I need to become to achieve those goals?” This tactic is different than normal goal setting but I promise will be more effective as well.
