If you feel that you’re not living up to your fullest potential, you only need to follow ten key steps to get you where you need to go and operate at the highest level you’re capable of operating at. Whether you want to get in better physical shape, earn more money, achieve greater emotional fulfillment or improve your mental sharpness, the steps below can help you get the job done.
These steps provide a framework you can use to fill in based on your specific situation or circumstances. The key is to start taking these steps today. Get on the road to a better life starting now!

Step 1: Get a clear idea of what you want to achieve and why

Too many people are unhappy, lack contentment, or feel frustrated because they don’t have a clear idea of what they want. In many cases, they ‘want’ something simply because other people want it. This is a sure recipe for personal unhappiness.

For example, if you want to make $250,000 a year or lose 30 pounds because that’s what other people want, you might have a tough time reaching these objectives. Why? They aren’t your own. You are simply living up to others’ expectations or simply following the crowd.

Instead, pick objectives that make sense personally. You can still aim to make $250,000 a year or lose weight because of personal reasons like exercising a high level of personal discipline and focus or some other personal reason. The key is take ownership of your objectives.

Step 2: Determine what you need to do to achieve your objectives

Now that you have set your sights on an objective due to truly personal reasons, your next step is to get a clear idea of what you need to do to reach those objectives. Be as brutally realistic as possible. Don’t expect your wished for results to simply happen by accident.

You’re not going to lose weight by random just as you won’t make a lot of money by simply wishing for it. You have to list the precise set of realistic steps you need to make your objectives become reality.

Focus on the following questions:

What do I have to sacrifice?
How hard will I have to work?
What kind of changes do I have to make?

Step 3: Set realistic, achievable goals with timelines

Now that you have set your objectives and gotten a clear idea of what you need to do to attain them, your next step is to convert your objectives into concrete goals. Keep in mind that objectives are results. Goals are specific things that have to happen for your objectives to become reality.

Example: if your objective is to be emotionally balanced at all time, your goal should be to be more patient, even-tempered, and mellow. These are measurable. It is easy to compare your ‘old self’ to your ‘new self’ with these goals.

Set a timeline so you can measure your progress. There is no such thing as an unrealistic goal. Even the biggest, most seemingly impossible goals can be reached if you break them down into enough sub-goals with a matching timeline.

Don’t set impossible deadlines. Don’t set deadlines you know you won’t meet. Instead, set deadlines which are challenging. These are designed to push you to take action.

Step 4: Be clear as to what holds you back

Be aware of the arrangements, situations, obligations, and other external factors that are holding you back from operating at peak levels. By clearly identifying them, you can start working to remove them, replace them, or push them out of the way as you work towards your goals.
For example: if your goal is to lose 25 pounds, one key factor holding you back is the fact that you eat late at night. Be clear as to why this prevents you from reaching your goal. Understand that when you eat lots of calories at precisely the period of time your metabolic system is slowing down, a lot of those calories will be stored instead of burned for energy. The more calories your body stores, the fatter you get.

Step 5: Get rid of limiting beliefs

While Step 4 is crucial, you have to understand the beliefs that undergird the things that hold you back. You engage in limiting behavior or find yourself in limiting arrangements and relationships because you have certain mindsets. You need to identify the core mindsets that lie beneath these limitations and get rid of them.

For example: if one of the limiting habits that get in the way of you reaching your ideal weight is the fact you eat for ‘comfort,’ you need to change your eating mindset. You believe that eating certain foods give you emotional balance and comfort. You believe there’s a link between a certain emotional state and eating certain food. Breaking this linking belief leads to reduced calorie intake because you stop eating fatty or sugary foods when you feel stressed or depressed.

Step 6: Learn to enjoy the process

Understand that reaching your personal peak is not a destination. Instead, it is a process where you learn more about yourself. Enjoy the process. Don’t obsess about the destination but enjoy the journey.

Step 7: Measure success the right way

If you measure your success the wrong way, you will only surely feel discouraged, depressed, and defeated. For example, if your objective is to learn how to spot and turn opportunities into solid financial rewards, you will feel depressed when you don’t reach your goal of making $25,000 a month.

Learn to measure your success the right way by using success metrics based on where you are in your journey. Taking the same example above, measure your success based on whether you have identified a set of money making opportunities and whether you have picked the most promising one and started taking steps to take advantage of such opportunities. See the difference? You measure your success not in terms of final outcomes but based on the steps you need to take to get to your goal.

Step 8: Recognize momentum

Let’s face it, the road to operating at peak levels can be rough especially if you have unproductive habits that get in the way. It is too easy to feel that the more you try, the more distant your objective seems to be. Eventually, you start thinking it is all pointless and you give up.
To short-circuit this very common problem, focus on identifying momentum. The good news is that whenever you start working towards a goal, you eventually get used to the work involved and it takes less and less effort to do what you need to do to get to the goal. Learn to recognize when you’ve hit momentum and get a large amount of satisfaction from that. This will help you avoid feeling impatient and frustrated.

Step 9: Lose yourself in the moment

As you work to change your mindset, your habits, and your daily activities so you can reach peak levels of performance in certain areas of your life, always remember that every single day you stick to your plan and take action is a victory. Understand this. Savor it. Lose yourself in the satisfaction of getting one step, even if it just an inch, closer to the peak levels you desire.

Losing yourself in the moment goes a long way in giving you the inner resolve, sustained will power, and strength of character you need to reach peak levels and stay there.

Step 10: Keep challenging yourself

If you follow the steps above, you’d be surprised as to how quickly you can reach peak levels. Once you reach peak levels, the key to sustaining them is to continuously challenge yourself. For example: if you can make $100 a day, you can make $200 a day. If you can make $200 a day, you can make $300 a day, so on and so forth. Don’t get complacent.

Never settle. Keep pushing yourself. Keep challenging yourself to go higher and higher.
Follow the steps above to reach your peak level of performance. Regardless of which aspect of your life you wish to improve these steps help you aim higher and push farther than ever before. Success is not just learned behavior. It is a habit. Develop a sustainable success habit today by following the steps above.

Productivity Help – 3 Surefire ways to Fail Every Single Time
I know, I know. The title of this article is, well, weird, to say the least. After all, who in their right mind would want to fail? Well, the simple truth is the Internet is filled with ‘Top 10’ lists of ‘how to succeed’, ‘how to reach your fullest potential,’ and similar topics.

All such content try to teach you how to achieve peak performance and enjoy optimal results by appealing to your proactive side. That’s right-they appeal to the part of your mind that is driven by desire, passion, and motivated by hopes and dreams. Put simply, they work on the positive side of your brain.

The problem with such an approach is that, for the most part, all of us aren’t always positive and proactive. In fact, in many situations, we would only make a move if our backs are against the wall. All the positive talk in the world won’t get us to take action until and unless the chips are down. Welcome to the reactive side of the human mind.

Interestingly enough, when it comes to getting results and getting things done, a reactive or negative approach works better than a proactive or positive approach. This article appeals to the reactive part of your mind. Forget your hopes and dreams for a moment and focus on the following mindsets and how they result in you failing time after time. Learn to recognize these and work around them so you can start getting the optimal results you want.

Failure Method #1: Failing to fully believe in what you’re doing

People who fail to achieve their goals often fail because they sabotage themselves. They don’t really fully believe in what they’re doing. In many cases, they doubt what they’re doing and are simply just going through the motions. In the back of their minds, they give themselves an ‘out.’ They think of alternative things or alternative solutions they could be trying. They often feel they are just doing something that’s ‘second best’ or ‘better than nothing.
If you think thoughts that erode your faith in what you’re doing, you are never going to succeed. Success requires focus at all levels-physical, mental, and emotional. After all, where your full focus goes, your full energy flows. When you are ‘keeping your options open’ by constantly thinking of alternatives as you work on something, you fail to give it your all. Your heart just isn’t fully in it.

Don’t be surprised if things don’t pan out. You weren’t into it all the way and things have a way of falling apart due to your lack of faith.

How do you fix this very common problem? Simple. Burn your ships behind you. Don’t give yourself an out. Don’t give yourself an alternative. Tell yourself that you either succeed with this particular project or you fail miserably. Commit one hundred percent. Focus your energy on making whatever it is you’re doing succeed. This means engaging our creativity and imagination to solve whatever problems arise. You can’t do this when you’re double-minded or fuzzy about your goal.

Failure Method #2: Confusing ‘Analysis’ with action

Thinking about something is not the same as doing something. This seems like common sense to most people but you’d be surprised as to how many people confuse the two. They think that as long as they buy a book or educational materials about an opportunity or project and read it, they are ‘doing’ something.

Absolutely wrong.

Getting information is great. Doing your due diligence is not just important it is crucial. Making sure you have enough information to make an informed decision is not just smart, it is vital. With that said, you need to reach a point where you pull the trigger.

You have to make a decision and commit.
Sadly, too many people are afraid of this so they ‘comfort’ themselves about the risk they’ll be undertaking by getting more and more information. It never ends. Why? You can never get enough information. There is just no way you can be fully assured that you all the information about your decision.

Sadly, ‘analysis paralysis’ leads to failure. Every single time. As Wayne Gretzy said, you miss one hundred percent of the shots you don’t take. If you try to overcome the fear you have about the risks of a particular project by continuously researching and researching, you’ll never get to the point where you realize you have ‘enough’ information to take the plunge. Why? You’re ‘researching’ not because you’re looking for an answer. You’re digging for information and ‘analyzing’ because you’re afraid of making a decision and committing yourself.

The solution to analysis paralysis is simple: lay out all your questions about the decision you’re trying to make. Once you find information that answers the questions, no matter how barely, decide you have ENOUGH information and commit.

Listen, there is no assurance that you’ll succeed. You have to reach a point where you feel you have enough information to make an informed decision. As long as your decision is informed, that’s enough.

Entrepreneur (The Self Made) Motivational Speech – Get it on iTunes, Google Play & Spotify NOW

Failure Method #3: Focusing on the destination instead of the journey

Success is a process. It is a journey that involves lots of twists, turns, and even outright detours. If you view success as a fixed destination, it will be too easy for you to get demotivated and burn out. How come? You have a fixed picture of what success should look like. If the results you’re getting don’t square up with that picture, you end up thinking you’re wasting your time. If you continue get results that don’t look like the results you have in your head, you end up giving up. That’s the worst thing you can do since the only way to lose is to quit. If you don’t give up, you’re still in the game. Clear?

Instead of defining success as the outcome at the end of a process, measure success based on where you are in the process of achieving your goals. For example, if your goal is to make money online by blogging, your measure of success when starting your blog is to successfully get your blog up. This means you allow yourself to feel good when you’ve completed your blog setup and have the look and feel you’re looking for. Next, when you have started writing your blog posts, your measurement of success should be whether the posts you write are high quality materials or not. Once your posts reach your quality standards, your next measurement of success should be on how engaging they are as measured by the comments they get. So on and so forth. Eventually, your measure of success would be how much money your blog makes.

Now, if you were to start the process by immediately measuring your blog’s success based on income when you’re still building up your blog, you are setting yourself up for failure. You’ll lose heart and give up quickly. Why? It’s completely unrealistic to expect revenues at this point!

Make sure your measure of success changes based on where you are in the process. If you focus solely on the ultimate result or goal of your project, you’ll quickly lose your resolve and will find it too tempting to quit. Whether they are trying to lose weight, find someone new, get a new job, switch careers, or make money, using the wrong success metric is one of the most common reasons why people fail.

Keep the three ways to fail above in mind when working on your goals. Make sure your don’t consciously or subconsciously subscribe to these methods. You are always in control of what you choose to think about. Start thinking in a way that leads to success instead of failure and disappointment.

Many of us try and fail, but a few know how to get where they want to be. What sets them apart? How are they able to create the difference? Why do people most fail, but some make it to the highest of summits?

Following are the 11 reasons that make successful people successful.

1. They Add Value
If you ask the majority of successful humans what element would be of most importance in reaching any level of success – I am sure most would reply “Add Value”
Adding Value means your business or service is benefiting others – The more others benefit from your product or service, the higher you will climb on the ladder of success. Look out for opportunities and ways to add more value in the lives of others. The reason successful people are successful is they think about adding value first, the wealth and success comes after and not before this point.

2. They Sacrifice
Another key point about successful people is that they are ready to make sacrifices for things they really want in life. They look beyond instant gratification and seek the long-term growth and success. If they have to sacrifice for their goals, they aren’t hesitant. Whether it be time, parties, fun with friends and family – when successful people are committed to a end goal they will do whatever it takes, and sacrifice whatever necessary to reach that goal.

3. They Don’t Care For Opinions
Most successful people show less interest in the opinions of others. A saying of Winston Churchill sums it up well, “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks”. If you want to be successful, you need to stop caring about what other people think about you or your work and just focus on the end result.
-“Have you ever met a hater doing better than you? Me neither.”

4. They Are Not Attached To Success
There is a famous speech from Chinese sage Chuang Tzu where he speaks about an archer, and how he thinks too much about winning, and not enough about shooting: His “need to win drains him of power”.
There is a very big difference between having a determination to achieve success and being anxious about being successful, being anxious will drain you out of power, creativity and focus. Being determined and present will ensure you have the right answers to the difficult questions. Let go of your attachment to success, and instead focus on creating the best possible product or service. The results will speak for themselves.
When an archer is shooting for nothing, he has all his skill.
If he shoots for a brass buckle, he is already nervous.
If he shoots for a prize of gold, he goes blind or sees two targets —
He is out of his mind!
His skill has not changed. But the prize divides him.
He cares. He thinks more of winning than of shooting–
And the need to win drains him of power.
-Chinese sage Chuang Tzu

5. They Set Goals
If you have ever had the blessing of listening to the work of Tony Robbins (Only the greatest success coach on planet earth) You will always hear him talk about goal setting. His RPM (Rapid Planning Method) is a great way to accelerate your results via goal setting.
A recent study by Dr. Gail Matthews, a psychology professor at Dominican University in California indicates just how important goal setting is. She completed a study on goal-setting with 267 participants. She found that you are 42 percent more likely to achieve your goals just by writing them down!
When you set clear goals, written down with clear objectives and dates, you know what you want. You can then take every step strategically, in the direction that leads to the fulfilment of your goals.

6. They Never Give up
Persistence is a major factor in any successful human being. Everyone is going to experience rejection and “failure” of some degree on their path to success. What separates successful people and the unsuccessful is the strength to keep going through tough times. They don’t take “NO” for an answer. They push harder and harder every time. If you research closely, the top 1% in any field of business, sport or life you will most likely hear a story about how they failed continuously in their early days. This is a very familiar pattern for all human beings – failure. However, the great difference between success and continued failure is never giving up, remaining persistent despite how bleak the situation appears, believing that one day is going to be your day.

7. They Develop Key Relationships
They invest on relationships that matter, they genuinely care about people, which results in healthy relationships. Relationships are usually ignored by majority of people and are regarded as a distraction. However, extremely successful people prioritise relationships and networking with like-minded people or “mastermind groups”. It supports them not only emotionally, but also in terms of their growth and development.

8. They Understand the Laws (Of the Universe)
Successful people know how the universe works in terms of ground realities, so they make it work in their favor. They make use of energy and open different doors of opportunity in many different areas of life and business. They don’t look for opportunities, they create them. They channel the energy in all the right directions. Understanding the laws is a major key to unlocking your true potential.

9. They have an appetite for Learning
Successful people have a great hunger to learn. If you are passionate about anything in life you will most likely have experienced the great desire to educate yourself fully on the topic. Learning for successful people never stops.

10. They Have a Great Drive and Determination
When you notice successful people, the elite sportsmen or top business men or women competing in any area of life – be it business, a harmless game at home with friends or any type of challenge you will notice they hate losing, they must win all the time, at all costs.
Drive and determination are 2 of the greatest assets a human can have. “An intelligent man is useless if he doesn’t have the will to get off the couch” If you are struggling for determination we strongly recommend the work of Eric Thomas (ET the Hip Hop Preacher)

11. They “Believe”
Theodore Roosevelt once stated “Believe you can and you’re halfway there”. The successful ones believe regardless of their circumstances they WILL reach the top. Regardless of how many times they get knocked down, they will get up every time and every time they will take one more step to the top. When you have a burning belief you will reach the top in the end, you are unstoppable.
That’s not the end; successful people have a lot of healthy habits that work all together in their favor. They continuously strive to reach their destination and when they are there, they don’t stop, they set the bar higher. These successful people additionally are keen to improve their lives. They engage into activities that broaden up vision and world view along with creating a sense of awareness. such as. Conclusively, they are all-rounders in every aspect of their life.

The well-known & long time best selling book by Napoleon Hill is a classic that contains lessons for anyone who wants to find their purpose in life.
If you want to feel like a success or just feel there has to be something better to life than this, you must read this book. For most of us, this is a book that needs to be read, reread and then read some more until the secrets and principles of this book have sunk deep and hit home.
Here, we are going to provide you a summary of these 13 principles for all those who do not have time to read the book but want to benefit from these principles as well as for those who want a recap of the great principles.

RELATED: The Great Secret (Law Of Attraction) Inspirational Music Speech that may just change your life!

First Principle: Desire

For anyone to be successful, it is crucial that there exist within them the desire to be great or at least better than their current state. Without this desire, there would be no motivation or cause for action. Simple wanting or a wish will not produce results as it is just wishful thinking. What is needed is a deep burning desire for something that will automatically result in actions that will bring results. For true success, desire is necessary as wishes will only result in frustration. Desire focuses on the presence of something or the addition of something, whereas wanting focuses on the lack of something.
Whenever you focus on the lacking part, you attract more lack into your life subconsciously. When you focus on the desire, you are consumed by the feeling of having that thing in your life to the extent that you are already picturing what it would feel like to have it in your life. It is this desire that catapults you into action that brings results. Desire pushes you out of your comfort zone because when you desire something, you will not sit idly without doing everything possible to attain the object of your desire. This creates the attraction and brings into your life everything you desire.

Second Principle: Faith

When a desire stems and attracts emotions that arise from deep within one’s belief, it attracts faith as well. For a desire to come true, you must have faith that it is possible and that it will come true. When you truly have faith in a desire and believe it will come true, it starts manifesting into its physical self. Those who believe they are not worthy of love, even on a subconscious level, often find themselves continuously in the same pattern of relationships that they somehow sabotage even if it may seem that they are the victims in it. This is because of our own deep existing beliefs.
Our beliefs hold so much power that they almost always come true so if you want a desire to become real, believe in it and have faith that it will come true. You have to truly believe that you deserve what you desire and it will be yours soon. It is faith that makes desires come true. If you find it is hard for you to have faith, repeat affirmations which state that the desire will come true. If you keep repeating something, it will start sounding true and soon enough the idea will not sound alien to you.
Monitor your beliefs and when you start identifying a pattern of self-limiting thoughts, pick deliberate affirmations and repeat them in order to counter the limiting beliefs.

Third Principle: Auto Suggestion

There is a strong reason why we do not believe in our own wishes and even though we want something, we do not believe we deserve it. This is a state of being brainwashed. We have been brainwashed by the society to believe we are unworthy of what we desire and that wanting something is sinful. Deep within us, these beliefs exist which makes it difficult for us to believe we deserve something.
In order to get rid of these beliefs, you need to meditate. Go somewhere quiet, relax your mind and repeat the beliefs you want to plant within you. Focus on your worthiness and having faith. With time, the seeds you plant during your meditative stage using affirmations will transform into beliefs. Additionally, start writing things you desire on small placards or notes and read them several times a day in order to remember what you want and place them firmly in your subconscious mind.

Fourth Principle: Specialised Knowledge

If acquiring knowledge ensured success, professors would be the wealthiest of the lot. However, that is as far from the truth as possible. Just having knowledge doesn’t make one intelligent or even successful. This is proven by the fact that information is available to everyone these days. All the knowledge of the world is just a mere click away and yet few in the world are successful.
This is because it is not acquiring knowledge but using it that makes one successful. The correct use of specialised knowledge can make one successful which is why instead of focusing on gaining knowledge, focus on the knowledge that will make your desires come true and help you achieve success.

Fifth Principle: Imagination

Imagination can prove handy if used for the right purpose instead of just using it for one’s entertainment. Creative imagination is the kind that comes in useful when you want to become successful. In other words, synthetic imagination is caused by the effects around us and creative imagination becomes the cause of the effects around us. When you use creative imagination to visualize and picture the fruits of your desires as a reality, they soon take form and in fact become a reality.

Sixth Principle: Organised Planning

In order to succeed, you need a concrete plan. This plan should be a way to achieve what you desire. Take your time to draft a plan and then write it down. Once you write it down, the chances of it becoming a reality increase, so always make sure that you write down your plans and then proceed to divide them into workable goals.

Seventh Principle: Decision

The type of decision Hill talks about in his book are firm and resolute decisions, instead of the ones that are formed and forgotten about in an instant. People who keep forming and changing their decisions are barely ever able to achieve what they desire. You need to believe strongly in your decisions to the extent that once you have taken a decision, it becomes concrete and must be followed through.
However, this it doesn’t mean a decision cannot be changed. However, a decision that is changed regularly is not much of a decision. Take strong and well thought-out decisions and then see them through to the end.

Eighth Principle: Persistence

Many people fail at their first attempt. They might fail on their hundredth attempt but the simple fact is that the 100th failed attempt proves their dedication and this strength of desire will ensure they succeed at some point in the future. Many people give up on the first attempt, claiming that the challenge is too tough for them and as a result these people barely ever succeed. In order to succeed, there should be an unwavering quality to the desire. In other words, you want it and you will do anything and spend as long as it takes to make this desire a reality.

Ninth Principle: Power of the Master Mind

One of the most important principles, this principle explains that in order to achieve what you desire, you need to align your thought vibrations with similar vibrations which can be achieved by keeping company of likeminded people. By choosing your company wisely, you will be surrounded by the right kind of motivation that will inspire and challenge you. If, instead, you surround yourself with lazy people who tend to slack off, with time you will fall into the same mindset and forego all desires. By surrounding yourself with people who motivate you to reach higher, you will achieve more.

Tenth Principle: Transmutation

This is one of the more controversial points in Hill’s book. He explains that we all have a strong sexual energy within us that we use to charm and attract the people we have an interest in. If we gather this energy and use it through creative imagination, we will be able to sound and seem more charming to people. This charm can help us get what we want by convincing people around us, through whom we may be able to achieve what we desire.

Eleventh Principle: The Subconscious Mind

Oftentimes, we truly want something but are limited by our beliefs and not being able to align vibrations in a manner that will help us make the desire a reality. We can control our subconscious mind by controlling and quieting our conscious mind and instilling the beliefs we want to see reflected in our lives. This is best achieved through meditation because we can truly control and tune into our subconscious. In simple words, our subconscious is the real master mind that decides what will and will not manifest in our lives.

Twelfth Principle: The Brain

According to research, when our creativity spikes, our subconscious mind reaches a state where it can be programmed comparatively easily which is why we need to be involved in creative tasks that help us get into the right state of the mind. When we repeat affirmations in our conscious mind while allowing ourselves to reach this state of mind through creative visualisations or imaginations, the pictures in our conscious mind are perceived as reality by our subconscious mind.
In simple words, when we visualise something, our subconscious mind cannot differentiate between the scene being a figment of our imagination or actual reality.

Final Principle: The Sixth Sense

This is your intuition or gut feeling and it becomes more profound when you start meditating and tuning into your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is your connection with the infinite wisdom of the universe. When we tune into our subconscious, which is in turn tuned into the universe, we get answers to our questions that would otherwise have eluded us. These answers may come to us as hunches or gut feelings and this is why they must not be ignored.

The powerful book by Napoleon Hill has become a permanent member of libraries around the world must be read to absorb the wisdom enclosed between the pages. These posts are a mere snapshot of the content and cannot in any way make up for the effect the book has. Everyone should read this book at least once. Get the book now – Here
