“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Ziglar
The path to success is certainly not an easy one. There are many roadblocks, many detours, many dead ends to be encountered when you decide to take the road less traveled. At times, the challenges can get so hellish that even the strongest warrior with the toughest, most unshakeable spirit thinks of quitting. But that is the reason why we need daily motivation – to fire our heart with passion at the moment when we are rapidly running out of the fuel of inner motivation.
As Zig Ziglar famously said, motivation is like bathing, it is needed daily or it will fade quickly. You keep it running daily with goals, with dreams and by staying focused to your path.
Another great way to stay motivated is to model the greats. If you are spending time with ‘the great,’ you become like them. But if you are wasting time ‘hanging out’ with the average, then that is what you will become. You don’t have to spend time in person with the great. It is their words, their life and their example that we need to surround ourselves with. Whether you decide to inspire yourself with a video, a speech, a book or whatever else it is that appeals to you, it is totally your call. But inspire and motivate yourself every day, you must!
#1: Motivation & Momentum
When you begin your daily motivational path, when you are setting goals & are truly motivated to see them come to a successful conclusion, you get results. When you get great results you create MOMENTUM. That momentum of course gets you even more motivated to achieve greater success. This is the same process that can see an unmotivated individual snowball into more and more failure or disappointment. Stay motivated, stay on track.
#2: Motivation Eliminates Fear of Failure
All these people who have changed the course of history have encountered great failure and adversity. What differentiates them from the herd is their relentless spirit – When life knocked them down, they got up stronger than ever before.
Michael Jordan has been famously quoted saying, “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Do you still think you should give up? There is not really any such thing as failure, there are only lessons learnt – “Failure” is simply learning one more way not to do something.
#3: Daily Motivation Keeps You Strong, Committed and Determined
The greatest challenge on the path to success is probably loneliness. The world feels like a terribly lonely place when no one around you seems to share your passion & no one seems as motivated as you. Trust me, there are many more people ready to drag you down to their level, than
motivating you to achieve success. When you can motivate yourself daily by modelling the successful, it gives you the strength to go on.
The greats, and their example become a testimony to the fact that commitment and determination, along with hard-work and passion ultimately leads to the kingdom of success!
Perhaps, it is time you played that video which makes you wanna go out and scream, “I am a WINNER!!!” or, maybe you want to reach out for that book which fills you with the inspiration to touch the hearts of many! Time for some action!
