										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mindfulness is the ability to turn down the white noise in our life and focus on what is happening in the moment. In this state we are able to notice and pay attention to what is happening to us. When you develop the state of mindfulness it as if you have just woken from a stupor, and are now able to see the richness of your experience.</p>
<p>The opposite of mindfulness is mindlessness. In this state we walk around and see a world that is grey. We miss a lot, and what we do see we don’t pay any attention to. We take the little – and the big – things in our life for granted. It’s like we’ve clocked in but we’re not really there.</p>
<p>Mindfulness, then, is the ability to concentrate, pay attention to your situation and be fully ‘in the moment’.</p>
<p>Through the process of mindfulness you will be able to slow down your conscious thoughts. By doing this – slowing down the mind – you will be able to awaken the spirit within. It will remind you that there is more to life than the challenges with which you are daily confronted.</p>
<p>Mindfulness moments may occur at any time. They are designed to allow you to strip away the layers and discover the <em>you</em> that lies beneath. Here are 3 Mindfulness Moments that you can incorporate immediately:</p>
<h1><strong><em>Who Am I?</em></strong></h1>
<p>Simply ask yourself the following question . . .</p>
<p><em>Who Am I?</em></p>
<p>Listen to your response (likely a label like <em>I’m a teacher</em>)</p>
<p>Respond with . . .</p>
<p><em>Not that</em></p>
<p>Repeat this process over and over until you have produced a long list of labels. These labels will more than likely describe your position in society, your personality or your talents.</p>
<p>Keep uncovering layers until your arrive at the question . . .</p>
<p><em>Who is asking the question?</em></p>
<p>Your answer to this question will allow you to cut through the list of illusory labels with which we pigeon hole ourselves. We are able to become more insightful about who we really are.</p>
<h1><strong><em>The Lit Flame</em></strong></h1>
<p>Sit comfortably in a darkened room. Place a lit candle directly in front of you.</p>
<p>Now close your eyes and focus on your breathing for two minutes. Count your breaths – one as you breath in and two as you breathe out. Continue until you reach 10 breaths in and out. Now return to one and continue this process.</p>
<p>After two minutes open your eyes and focus on the flame of the candle. Gaze gently at it, without straining. Study the flame, becoming fully aware of it’s beauty. Notice things about the flame that you have previously taken for granted. Become one with the flame.</p>
<p>Next, absorb the flame into your body. Do this by fully establishing an awareness of it inside of you. Feel it’s heat warming you. Feel the flame moving around your body, providing heat energy to your various parts. Along with that warmth realize that it makes you feel safe, contented and relaxed.</p>
<p>Now, close your eyes and refocus on your breathing. Count your breaths – one as you breathe in and two as you breathe out. Continue until you reach 10 breaths in and out. Now return to one and continue this process.</p>
<h1><strong><em>The Flower</em></strong></h1>
<p><strong><em> </em></strong>Sit comfortably in a darkened room. Place a single flower in a bowl of water directly in front of you.</p>
<p>Now close your eyes and focus on your breathing for two minutes. Count your breaths – one as you breathe in and two as you breathe out. Continue until you reach 10 breaths in and out. Now return to one and continue this process.</p>
<p>After two minutes open your eyes and focus on the flower. Gaze gently at it, without straining. Study the flower, becoming fully aware of it’s beauty. Notice things about the flower that you have previously taken for granted. Become one with the flower, letting your consciousness melt into it.</p>
<p>Now close your eyes and absorb the flower into your inner being. Melt it onto your torso and feel it moving toward your heart. Enjoy it’s pulsing softness and beauty.</p>
<p>Now, close your eyes and refocus on your breathing. of you. Count your breaths – one as you breath in and two as you breathe out. Continue until you reach 10 breaths in and out. Now return to one and continue this process.</p>
<p>The exercises just described will help you to reach a place inside your mind that you have never been to before.</p>

<p>We spend a lot of time in our heads, we think about conversations we’ve had, ex partners, our crappy jobs, and we also spend hours dreaming of the future when all of our problems will somehow disappear. They wont.</p>
<p>The truth is that your life will only get better when you learn to harness your personal power, which lies in the present moment, and use it to create change in your life. And it is in the present moment that true magnetism happens.</p>
<p>When you begin to use the law of attraction in this way, you will no longer be the victim of your life’s circumstances, or a puppet for anyone else’s use. You will find that you and you alone are in charge of your destiny; through the quality of the thoughts you choose to accept or create in your mind.</p>
<p>Your confidence will grow stronger and stronger, and you will naturally start to attract more of the things you want, and less of the things you don’t.</p>
<h1><b>Accept that you have made mistakes</b></h1>
<p>We have all made mistakes in our lives. But you can choose to see those mistakes as lessons. If you look back on all of the choices in your life that you regret, I know you will find a lesson. Sometimes they are buried deep, but they are always there.</p>
<h1><b>Forgive </b></h1>
<p>Your mistakes may have hurt people. Maybe other people’s mistakes have hurt you. Either way, you need to let them go if you want to change your life. Carrying around shame, blame or guilt for things that have happened in the past only blocks your heart from being able to manifest for you the live you want and deserve. So give yourself permission to let it go.</p>
<h1><b>Watch your thoughts</b></h1>
<p>Negative thoughts will always arise, but you have the power to choose how much air-time you give them. It is totally within your control whether your negative thoughts about yourself or you life get primetime or end up on the cutting room floor.</p>
<p>When you notice a negative though coming up for you, change what you are doing. Stand up, sit down, shake your head, take a deep breath, just do something. You need to practice removing the unconscious negativity program that is on repeat in the back of your mind, and by moving your body or making a sound, you disrupt that thought process.<br />

<p>Once you become aware of a negative thought, replace it. Use the new awareness you have gained to speak nicely to yourself, even give yourself an internal high five! Focus on bringing a positive feeling of love or joy into your mind and then visualize your life from this place.</p>
<p>Practice these steps daily, hourly, whenever you can! Pretty soon you’ll notice how your self-confidence, and your life, has changed for the better.</p>

<p>I love this idea. I think the happiest creatures on earth must be goldfish. They forget everything after 3 seconds. And they seem pretty chilled out most of the time. Obviously we can’t erase our past, or the pain that goes with it; but if we can be mindful of the thoughts that arise when we feel scared, we have the opportunity to extinguish unjustified fears before they take control.</p>
<p>Ask yourself- is this fear justified? Am I in any real danger?</p>
<p>If you are, then act, but if you are not, become aware. Gently focus your attention upon the thoughts that are running through your mind.</p>
<p>When we understand that we have control over our thoughts, including the fearful ones, we can decide to dismiss any that do not serve us. We can choose instead to ground ourselves straight into the present moment, and look to understand the truth of what is happening around us.</p>
<p>It is in the present moment that we can experience true freedom and a state of natural, uninterrupted bliss, because we are without fear, worry or anxiety. Our bodies can truly relax, our breath can be deep, and we are able to live life as it is meant to be lived- in love.</p>
