LYRICS: Leave The Ghosts (Official Lyric Video) Fearless Motivation
They say to train your mind to see hope in all of disaster
You travel roads with no shortcuts to do it faster
I thought I should turn my tears into joy and laughter
But along the way my own apprentice has become my master
Locked in a room with walls of glass, no one hears you scream
Listening to voices in your head trying to tame the beast
Life is happening in front of you and you’re cursed to see
Your mind became a prison made of everything you used to be
Feeling your strength growing weaker, what is going on?
Like every move or action taken you’ve been doing wrong
Judging today by what has been a long time ago
Stuck in a repeating cycle, endlessly going on
The day today’s a chance, yesterday’s a lesson for
Future that is coming, it’s not a cell for your soul
You hold the key to your future, you have control
Give it all you got, full strength, make it known that
Todays the day when I break the chains,
Set in motion
Every change necessary to inspire growth
Today I bury my past self, let them go
And vow to never look back, instead just leave the ghost.
There’s obstacles along the way you will need to tackle
And how’re you going to do that if you keep looking back?
You could lose it all, just like that, in a flash
Why? ‘Cause you never truly focused on your path
Two choices, what has been or what lies ahead,
How good you used to be or chance to improve yourself
First choice carries weight, unnecessary debt
Second one will guarantee you freedom above everything else
I know the stress, I feel it on my own skin
I know what it’s like bottling up so no one notices
You’re not alone, here’s my hand, we will go through this
Together let our past know we won’t fall to it
Calm down, take a breath, let it fill your lungs
Close your eyes and manifest what’s about to come
There you are, in a space filled with faith and love
Now one last time turn around and say
Todays the day when I break the chains,
Set in motion
Every change necessary to inspire growth
Today I bury my past self, let them go
And vow to never look back, instead just leave the ghost.
To move forward you got to look forward
Guess the direction in which you’re going if you’re looking back
Expectations that we set upon ourselves should not be to strive to be just as you were
Instead you have a chance to grow
To become different
To become better
But to do that you have to leave your past behind…
Todays the day when I break the chains,
Set in motion
Every change necessary to inspire growth
Today I bury my past self, let them go
And vow to never look back, instead just leave the ghost.
