Let’s face it, we all get mad when people in our lives make stupid mistakes. Whether it’s at home, the office or even complete strangers.

We all mistakes.. However it’s often much easier to point out the mistakes of others, than mistakes of our own doing.

What’s worse is when ‘smart people’ make stupid mistakes. If you’re in the ‘smart’ category it can be super embarrassing when you make stupid mistakes in public.

Recently, I was reading an article on The Knowledge Project, about why people actually make these dumb mistakes in life..

Why Smart People Make Stupid Mistakes

According to the research, people, make mistakes primarily because of these 7 reasons:

Stress

Rushing or urgency

Too much information

Concerned with fitting in

Fixed on a specific outcome

Being outside the comfort zone

Being in the presence of an “authority”

Learning how to minimize each of them, will have you performing at a much higher level.

1. Stress

We’ve all been there. If you’re stressed it’s easy to make mistakes.

To help reduce these mistakes spend some time meditating, creating a set of morning rituals so that you can plan your day more effectively and do some deep breathing exercises.

Less stress will help you make fewer dumb mistakes but it’ll also help you live longer as cortisol is released when you’re stressed.

Remember, less stress equals a longer life!

2. Rushing

Think back to the last time you went rushing out the door trying to make it to work on time. It’s really easy to leave your notes for your work presentation, or forget to bring your lunch.

Minimize rushing by making sure you’re getting up earlier, creating a schedule, and maximizing the time you get each morning. Rush less to do more.

3. Too Much Information

We’re bombarded with information everywhere we go.

There’s never been more information on every single subject, ever.

But sometimes, too much information makes life harder rather than easier.

Instead of looking for another book or another how-to guide, filter out the information coming in and focus on your most important task each day, smash that out and the rest of the day is downhill.

4. Concerned With Fitting In

Most people want to fit in and be accepted by others too much.

Instead, be bold enough to be yourself, not only will you attract the right people into your life you’ll be much happier.

5. Fixed on a Specific Outcome

Sometimes we want very specific results. And when something else happens we get flustered and make stupid mistakes.

Don’t be so concerned with the outcome and instead, focus on getting it right. Even if the outcome isn’t as originally desired.

6. Being Outside Your Comfort Zone

Almost always you have to leave your comfort zone for growth.

But if you find yourself doing it too frequently and not being confident with your skills, mistakes are bound to happen.

While you shouldn’t avoid the comfort zone, make sure you are prepared for every eventuality, each time you do do something outside you zone.

7. Being in the Presence of an “Authority”

The easiest example is having a cop car following you on the road. It’s natural for people to make stupid mistakes that they wouldn’t normally make.

Quit letting “authority figures” bother you. Take a deep breath, relax and I’m confident you’ll avoid making a stupid mistake that could cost you. Remind yourself of everything you’ve overcome so far to even get to this point. This is nothing.

Remember, making mistakes is part of life. Don’t beat yourself up, if you find yourself making the occasional mistake. It’s a human trait that every single person possesses.

But if you find yourself making them a habit, try to identify if one of these seven causes is the reason. Then work on eliminating it from your life for more consistency.

What If The Results Don’t Come? Watch & Grow

One thing almost everyone wants to do in 2019 is to get more done. And while resolutions rarely last, these productivity hacks can help you get more done than you thought possible.

Humans always want to do more and we live in a society where “doing more” is often rewarded. Instead of cranking out another energy drink or pulling more late nights, learn how to become more productive.

I’m confident if you follow these 7 productivity hacks you’ll have the most efficient year of your life.

7 Insanely Easy to Follow Strategies For Greater Productivity

Work on Stuff You Love

Have you ever noticed that when you’re doing work you love that time flies? But when you’re working on something you care less about time stands still?

If this sounds like how you spend a majority of your day, I recommend that you figure out how to spend more time doing what you love. That’s not to say quit your job and follow your passion tomorrow.

If you like your employer, try to find a new role, ask for a promotion or create your own. Or, if you’re over it, then leave! Go all in your passion to spend more time doing what you love.

Turn Your Phone on Airplane Mode

Social media, texts, emails, and every other notification make it nearly impossible to get work done in a timely fashion. If you want to do more, simply put your phone in airplane mode and out of sight. The less you’re on your device, the more you’ll get done and the more you’ll realize it doesn’t control you!

Do the Hard Stuff First

Sometimes it’s hard to get momentum if you have 5-10 things you need to accomplish in a day. If this is the case, I recommend doing the hard stuff first. Knock down the big domino to create momentum for the rest of your tasks.

Plus, if the rest of the day gets busy you completed the biggest tasks of the day!

Minimize Meetings As Much as Possible

Let’s face it, most corporate meetings last about 10x longer than they need too. Try to minimize your time spend in meetings so you can focus on getting more work done. If you’re running meetings, try to shorten them and get people out of the boredom.

Declutter Your Home and Workspace

Have you ever noticed when your desk or home is a mess you feel the same? I know personally that the cleaner and less clutter, the better I feel. To get more done, clean up the house or desk to make it tidy.

Decluttering makes it easy to find clarity and get more done in less time.

Minimize Your Information

Another easy productivity hack to getting more done is commit to doing, reading, or consuming less. Don’t read 12 websites every day or subscribe to 20 email lists. That clutter I was referring too in the previous hack happens with technology as well.

Minimize all of your content or have set times where you check email or social media instead of looking all day every day.

Wake Up Early & Crush Your Mornings

If you want to get more done, wake up earlier. It’s simple but it’s true. You have to maximize your time awake so you can accomplish more tasks.

Once you’re up, look to win each morning. If you can spend time on self-care and get the hardest thing done, you’re well on your way to an epic day.

Hopefully, these productivity hacks will help you get more done in 2019. Remember, less is more. Once you stop trying to do everything, then you can do anything.

If you study successful people as closely I have, it’s pretty easy to realize a few things.

They aren’t all rocket scientists. In fact, some of them didn’t ever graduate college (i.e. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc.)

They aren’t afraid to fail. Actually, they love failure as it’s a way to succeed faster.

Lastly, they all have great habits. And one of those habits is creating a winning morning routine.

As the legendary motivational speaker and author Brian Tracy said, “Successful people are simply those with successful habits.” And he’s right. Especially when it comes to winning the morning.

One of the ways to do this is known as the hour of power. The hour of power routine has a few different versions but all have a lot in common.

Hour of Power: Create Your Powerful Morning Routine

Jack Canfield’s Hour of Power

Jack Canfield, author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series and The Success Principles, love his hour of power. His version includes:

20 minutes of exercise

20 minutes of meditation

And 20 minutes of reading or watching something positive and/or inspirational

Each of these helps him start the morning off with gratitude, movement, and inspired. One common thing among ultra-successful people is avoiding your phone for the first hour of the day. Give yourself a digital detox.

Besides, how many times have looking at your phone in the morning actually made your day better?

If you’re like most people its just a distraction and easy to end up on the vortex of social media.

Tony Robbins’s Hour of Power

Tony Robbins is another huge proponent of morning routines and has several different rituals, depending on the amount of time you have available. While the hour of the power of is good in theory, not everyone always has a full 60 minutes each day.

In this case, it’s important to have a variety of 15 and 30-minute versions instead of skipping altogether. Here’s what Tony’s 15-minute ritual looks like:

15 Minutes of Fulfillment

Move and Breathe (5 minutes): As Tony says, “Motion creates emotion.” Use some sort of diaphragm breathing or short burst of exercise to wake up your nervous system once you wake up.

Gratitude Exercise (5 minutes): Go to any Tony Robbins seminar and you’ll instantly understand the importance of gratitude. In this exercise, focus on three things you’re grateful for in life. Nothing is too small or big.

Incantations (5 minutes): Incantations are a form of affirmations in which you use your body and breath more than simply reading positive statements. Tony’s said in several interviews he used to shout incantations at max volume while driving in his car. He’s said that they’ve helped rewire his subconscious and help him achieve more.

Start Your Hour of Power

If you’re ready to start your hour of power for the new year here are some easy rituals to add to your routine:

Writing in a gratitude journal or expressing gratitude outwardly

Journaling your goals and future plans

Exercising, yoga, stretching or going for a brisk walk

Watching or reading something inspirational or uplifting

Having a healthy breakfast and preparing a healthy lunch

Remember, you can always change the terms of your hour. It is your Hour of Power. But have fun with it, and know that it’s extremely effective in centering you, uplifting you, and helping you create a powerful, positive day.

Have you ever thought about what your “perfect day” would look like? What would you be doing? Who would you be spending time with?

So many of us fantasize about the perfect day only to end up going to jobs we hate and creating lives that are good but not extraordinary. I know I’ve had to work extremely hard to create more “perfect days” but it’s not easy for most people to make this colossal shift.

I learned about this concept from “The Perfect Day Formula” and attending the 2-day event, “The Perfect Life Retreat” from the author, Craig Ballantyne. If you can learn how to create more perfect days, you’re sure to create a life you love.

Here’s how to create the perfect day and ultimately, the perfect life.

Who is Craig Ballantyne?

Before I cover the fundamentals of creating the perfect day, I want to talk about the author, Craig Ballantyne. He’s a high-performance coach, best-selling author, and known by many as “Mr. Discipline.” In fact, he’s a machine for efficiency and productivity on a daily basis.

He regularly wakes up at 3 am, writes for two hours, then does his morning routine, writes for another two hours and goes on with his day. Craig works with high-level entrepreneurs, runs elite mastermind programs, and speaks around the world. To accomplish all this, he’s become a master of his time and made it his life’s work to help others.

After suffering crippling anxiety attacks in his 20’s he decided no more. He changed everything about his life to working toward achieving his long-term vision. Now, he’s doing just that by helping everyday people to billionaire CEOs maximize their time and create their own perfect days.

Here are seven ways you can create your perfect life:

The Perfect Day Formula: 7 Steps to Proven Success

1. Get Clear on What You Want In Life

The first thing we did at the event was thinking about our long-term vision for life. Not setting goals, but creating a big picture vision. Start by asking yourself questions like:

Where do you want to be in 1, 3, 5, 10, and 20 years?

Who will you be spending time with?

What will you be doing on a daily basis?

Where will you be living? Will you be traveling?

As Tony Robbins said, “We all need a compelling future, something will get us up and excite us. If you don’t’ have that, life feels very dead for high performers.

2. Create Four 90-Day Goals

Goals are great but so many people set too many or aren’t clear about how to get the result. Craig is very detailed about this process and recommends only setting four, 90-day goals. This way you can stay focused, committed, and not get overwhelmed. Plus, 90 days is great because you get a lot done and still stay motivated as the finish line is close.

Craig recommends setting these four outcome goals:

Health goal: Example: Lose 10 pounds in 90 days

Wealth goal : Example: Earn $5,000 dollars from a side business

Social self goal (your relationship with others) – Example: Take your family on a vacation

Personal enrichment goal (your own self-improvement) – Example: Read a book a week for three months

Then, for each of these goals create process goals. What is the process to make those goals become a reality? Write them down and review them regularly so increase the chances of making them happen.

3. Start an Empowering Evening Morning and Evening Routine

As Craig said in his book, “One of the reasons you must attack your number one priority first thing in the morning is that you are armed at that early hour with the greatest willpower to act and avoid getting into trouble. The morning holds the fewest external distractionS and temptations from other people.”

While you don’t have to get up at 3 am like Craig, it’s important to get up early and take advantage of the morning. Whether it’s working on a side project, investing in yourself, reading or spending time getting clear, it all helps.

But the morning isn’t a time to waste so make sure to plan your morning routine before going to bed. Spend 5-10 minutes recapping the day, journal wins, and plan what you’re going to do tomorrow morning.

4. Create Rules for Your Life

You might be thinking, “I don’t want rules in my “perfect day.” The only way you’re going to end up living a “perfect day” and life is to have a set of rules to get you from A to B.

As Craig said, “Your rules state what you will and will not do. Your rules automatically indicate that you make the right decision, making it easy to overcome obstacles and resist temptation.”

Some of Craig’s rules include:

Going to bed at 8 pm and waking up at 4 am

Writing for at least 60 minutes each morning

Helping ten million men and women transform their lives

He has a total of 12 rules that are non-negotiable in his life. I’ve since done a similar exercise and found it much easier to say yes and no to certain decisions.

Figure out your own non-negotiables so you can eliminate willpower and distraction.

5. Make Health a Top Priority

Craig is also a fitness freak who’s appeared in Men’s Health, GQ, and other magazines for his jacked physique. Working out and eating healthy is a huge priority for him which is why he’s able to do so much in his life.

Let me ask, how is your fitness affecting your life? If you’re not exercising and eating clean on a regular basis it’s going to be extremely difficult to create a perfect day or life. Setting a clear health goal and making it a top priority.

Chance are, if your health improves so will other areas of your life. Discipline is contagious, a few small tweaks to your exercise or nutrition can positively affect other areas of your life.

6. Find Mentors and Coaches

As successful as Craig is, he still heavily investing in himself. He is involved in top-level masterminds and regularly hires coaches to help him grow in different areas of his life.

Do you have a mentor, coach or mastermind to help you improve your chances of success? I’ve personally spent thousands on them this year and seen a huge shift in the quality of my life. Sometimes paid accountability to someone who is where you want to be in life is an incredible motivator.

Remember, as Tony Robbins said, “Success leaves clues.” Model successful people so you can create your own version of success.

7. Surround Yourself With Successful People

The last way to create your perfect day is surrounding yourself with a group of like-minded people. It’s nearly impossible to achieve great things in your life with mediocre people. If something isn’t helping you, chances are they are hurting you.

Become relentless with your inner circle and friends becoming high-level individuals. Go to events, join Facebook groups, reach out to people you admire on social media.

Get a “whatever it takes” mentality to immerse yourself with winners. Not only will you enjoy your days more but you’ll enjoy the mindset shift that will help you become 100x more successful.

Use these seven hacks to create your own perfect day. String along enough perfect days, weeks, and months you’ll look back on the perfect life that you created for yourself.

Do you agree that some people are just more motivated than others? Some people jump out of bed, crush the mornings and win the day.

Others sleep in, hit snooze and simply go through the motions of life. While it’s easy to think that some people are born with more motivation than others, it’s just not true.

The human brain loves a challenge and some people routinely flex their brain with challenges. But the brain only likes a challenge if the difficulty isn’t too much out of your comfort zone. Here’s why:

The Science of Motivation

Motivation is a weird thing. It comes, it goes, and sometimes never arrives when you need it most. But you can use the Goldilocks Rule to find it when you need it most.

For example, let’s say you love playing golf. If you’re an experienced player and you’re playing against a beginner, you’ll get bored from the lack of competition quickly.

But if you play against Tiger Woods you’ll lose motivation as you’re most likely losing by a huge margin. The trick is to find something in the middle. You need to play against someone who is close to you in ability levels you’ll have a good chance to win.

You will find that your brain is trying hard to help you win, it enjoys the challenge as much as you do. You’ll find yourself focusing more and being 100% invested in the outcome.

What is the Goldilocks Rule?

This golf example is a challenge that is just manageable enough with the difficulty level and a perfect example for the Goldilocks Rule.

The Goldilocks Rule states that humans experience the most motivation when working on tasks that are on the edge of their current abilities. These tasks or events aren’t too hard or too easy but a perfect balance.

How The Goldilocks Rule Can Make You Perform at a Higher Level

Working on a big project or goal might feel intimidating at first. In fact, it might be such an outrageous goal that you want to quit before you even begin. I know because I’m talking from experience here as well.

Not only do you need to manage the difficulty level and try to slightly increase your skills each time, but you also need to measure your progress. This looks different depending on your goal but you need a blend of motivation and happiness to have the drive to keep going.

For example, if you’re an athlete, you get instant feedback when you are competing. If you make the shot or score a goal, the crowd cheers. And if you miss the shot or goal, the crowd boos or gasps. This instant feedback helps your brain understand progress.

If you want to perform at a higher level you need to measure your progress. Whether it’s tracking on an excel sheet, creating a graph or some other methods. Try to give your brain a visual representation of how you’re doing.

Ambiguity doesn’t help the brain. As Jack Canfield said, “Vague goals produce vague results.”

What To Do Next

If you’re coming up on an end of year goal or project in business or life, use these two steps. Stick to the Goldilocks Rule and do the tasks that are uncomfortable and will help you grow, but not too uncomfortable.

And make sure to measure and track your progress. As Peter Drucker said, “If you can’t measure it you can’t manage it.”

We all have the same 24 hours each day. Yet, some people accomplish more in the average day than others can in a week.

Why is that?

One of the reasons… They wake up earlier. Studies have shown that the average CEO wakes up at least three hours before they actually go to work.

Waking up early and getting your day started is one of the most common habits of successful people.

If you want to be efficient and ultra-productive, you need to know how to wake up early without an alarm.

How to Wake Up Early Without an Alarm: The #1 Habit of Success

Part I: How to Stop Depending on Your Alarm

Before you can just hop out of bed without setting an alarm, you need to phase it out slowly. Don’t cold turkey your alarm and risk not getting up or missing work.

Start by trying these methods to wean yourself off the alarm clock:

Practice on Weekends

Instead of trying on a workday, try to get up when you normally would during the week.

Use An Old School Alarm

If you use your phone as an alarm, most likely you look at it right before you go to bed. Maybe even scrolling through social media before you go to sleep. This is setting you up for failure as the blue light from the screen delays the release of your body’s melatonin which makes it harder to fall asleep.

Quit the Snooze Button

The snooze button kills more dreams than anything else. Quit snoozing through life and take control of your mornings. The snooze button puts you back into a new sleep pattern and often times makes you more tired than before pressing it.

Part II: How to Wake Up Early Without an Alarm

Now that you have started to wake up early without an alarm, you can keep getting better with these habits.

Create the Perfect Sleeping Environment

You are a product of your environment and that includes your sleeping environment. Create an optimal sleeping environment by making sure it’s dark and slightly cold. Also, save your bedroom for sleeping, not reading, watching TV or working on your laptop.

Change Your Habits

The quality of your sleep and the ability to wake up without an alarm depends on how well you treat your body throughout the day. Make sure you are exercising regularly and not eating too late. When you eat late it might be hard to fall asleep which will keep you up later and sleep in later.

Also, avoid caffeine in the late afternoon and evening as the stimulant can also make it hard to get to sleep.

Practice Meditation

Meditation has so many benefits including the ability to help you sleep better. Try night meditation apps like Primed Mind or Headspace to get started.

Go to Bed at the Same Time

The last key to waking up without an alarm is keeping your routine consistent, yes even on the weekends if possible. Your body clock doesn’t take days off, forcing it to do so will throw your entire routine out. Try to wake up and go to sleep at the same time every day and you will notice a huge difference.

Get Started Tomorrow

As Craig Ballanytne said in the best seller, The Perfect Day Formula, “Habits are the secret to getting ahead in life and achieving your big goals and dreams.” Change your habits and you can change your life.

If you want to become the ultimate version of yourself you have to learn how to conquer your mornings so you can conquer your days. When you first learn how to wake up without an alarm, remember to start slow and build your way to waking up on your own.

Quit sleeping through your dreams and start creating the life you were born to live. As the legendary speaker, Eric Thomas said, “Make the rest of your life the best of your life.”

Imagine that you’ve been working all day and you still want to keep going. But your mind won’t let you.

Your eyes slide out of focus and laying in bed feels like the only thing you want to do.

Sometimes we just need a boost. Enter Nootropics. The latest scientific development in cognition enhancement.

The road to success is paved with obstacles like procrastination, doubt, fatigue and the myriad of other challenges that we must be overcome in todays fast paced world.

Discipline is key, but that’s something that is cultivated over time. That’s where nootropics can help you get your foot in the door.

Sometimes, all you need is that little ‘nudge’ to help you get started or finish off daily tasks.

Your day job may leave you drained. All you need is something extra that will help you get things done even after a hard day’s work.

If you’re like me and you want to make every moment count, this article is for you.

Let’s see which Nootropics are best for energy, cognition, focus and motivation.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-13176" src="https://www.fearlessmotivation.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/NOOCORNELIUS.jpg" alt="Need A Brain Boost?
Piracetam | Best Nootropics

Rating: 4/10

Piracetam has been synthesized over 50 years ago, making it one of the oldest and most popular nootropics.

It works by improving blood flow in the brain. It is thought to reverse the effects of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Piracetam is an effective cognitive enhancer that boosts verbal fluency and creativity, making it great for studying. It also increases brain plasticity, favoring the formation of new connections in the brain and slowing down cognitive decline.

Piracetam accelerates the production of acetylcholine, which can accelerate the depletion of choline in the brain, potentially leading to headaches. It also boosts other stimulants such as caffeine and is best taken together with choline to counteract it’s depletion.

Phenylpiracetam | Best Nootropics

Rating: 7/10

Phenylpiracetam is one, if not the most potent nootropic of the racetam family.

Structurally, it is an analogue of piracetam with an attached phenyl group.

The added phenyl group allows phenylpiracetam to pass through the blood faster than piracetam, making it thirty to sixty times more potent and it produces more stimulating effects in a manner similar to other phenethylamines such as Adderall.

It improves cognitive performance and problem-solving skills in people that suffer from low-mood or asthenia.

Phenylpiracetam is an ideal nootropic for athletes because it increases stamina and reduces the negative effects of stress on the body.

Adrafinil | Best Nootropics

Rating: 9/10

Adrafinil is a great choice for anyone that wants to get that needed ‘kick’ to make the most out of a day.

Adrafinil is a precursor to Modafinil, thus being quite the same in terms of effects, although you would twice the amount to achieve similar effects.

It’s actually metabolized by the body into Modafinil and has a shorter half-life. In the United States you will need a prescription for Modafinil, where as for Adrafinil, you do not.

Rather than forcibly stimulating the body and generating hyperactivity, Adrafinil increases the presence of the neurotransmitter Orexin, which controls alertness and wakefulness.

Oxiracetam | Best Nootropics

Rating: 6/10

Oxiracetam is a potent cognitive enhancer that enhances learning capacity, memory recall, attention span and also has stimulatory effects.

The stimulation experienced on oxiracetam is considered mild and encouraged rather than strong and forced as seen in other stimulants like Adderall.

Users report that oxiracetam also alters perception by increasing sound awareness and making colors seem more vibrant and alive, making it a great productivity hack for creatives and artists.

Oxiracetam stacks well with other racetams, producing synergistic effects and is considered safe with no long-term side-effects.

Noopept | Best Nootropics

Rating: 7/10

Noopept is a peptide-derived nootropic supplement that is very much like a racetam, but not quite the same.

It produces more or less the same effects as piracetam, though a much smaller quantity is needed. Noopept helps in releasing serotonin which has positive effects on mood and energy levels.

People use Noopept to treat anxiety and depression.

It’s quite a gentle supplement in terms of side-effects and also has neuroprotective properties.

Noopept also leads to enhanced connection between the two hemispheres of the brain, excelling with creativity and problem-solving related tasks.

Although Noopept is much more potent than other racetams, it’s more effective for at improving memory recall than increasing energy levels.

Wrapping it up

Choosing the right nootropic largely depends on the purpose for which you’re using them.

The Modafinil precursor, Adrafinil, is a great choice among many ‘brainhackers.’

Phenylpiracetam is a great nootropic on its own and it’s great for increasing stamina during physical activities.

Noopept would be recommended for those who want to improve memory.

Oxiracetam is an effective creativity enhancer.

Stacking is popular among nootropic users. Stacking is largely subjective because of differing brain chemistry among individuals. Try experimenting and find out what best works for you. As always consult you doctor for the safest and most effective course of action.

When you try and make a change in your life do you go big or go small? Meaning, if you’re trying to lose weight do you start changing a few small things that you can sustain or do you go all in?

Dropping foods you’ve eaten for years, exercising daily, and thinking it’s the right move. Which one works?

For most people massive shifts in habits tend to fade quickly as habits aren’t easy to change. Instead, there is a solution to create lasting and sustainable change in your life.

The solution is known as the “The Compound Effect.”

The Power of The Compound Effect

Written by Darren Hardy, it’s a book that you must read if you want to reach your next level of success. The premise of the book is all about how the little things add up, or compound, over time. Naturally, he’s coined the term “The Compound Effect.“

As Darren Hardy said, “Even though the results are massive, the steps, in the moment, don’t feel significant. The changes are so subtle they’re almost impossible.”

How the Compound Effect Works

This video breaks down an easy way to show the power of the compound effect in real life. Imagine these two scenarios:

Option 1: Spend 30 minutes per day to improve your skills. Receive $10 per week with a 10% weekly compound growth.

Option 2: Spend 30 minutes per day and receive $5,000 per month with no improvement necessary. But, there is no copmound growth over time.

It’s easy to think that option two is the best choice. But compounding is a very powerful tool in business, finances, and life success.

Here are the breakdowns for both scenarios after the first 24 months:

Accumulated Revenue

Option 1

Option 2

$51

$5,000

$126

$10,000

$235

$15,000

$15,541

$60,000

$86,762

$80,000

$127,080

$85,000

$186,108

$90,000

$2,219,271

$120,000

That is the power of compounding in your life. Here’s how to start using the compound effect in your life.

The Microwave Mentality

Darren talks about this by saying we live in a society that wants things immediately. He calls this the “microwave menatlity.” In today’s world, most people want instant downloads, fast food, and same day shipping.

Everyone wants it now, including success! But success, in anything, is never overnight and definitely not a straight line to your destination.

Instead, you need to align your life with your core values. Your core values are your filter that which you run all of lifes demands and tempations through the filter. This is how you make sure that you’re redirecting your life toward achieving your vision.

How to Find Your Core Values

To align your life with your values you have to first identify what you want in life. As Darren says, “Most people are sleepwalking through daily choices. Half the time we’re not even aware that we are making them.”

Here’s how to wake up and start finding your core values in business.

Ask yourself, who do you admire? What are the key attributes that contribute most to their success that you can add into your life?

Let’s say you chose learning and creating as your core values.

Next, you need to figure out if your actions align with your new values.

At the top of the hour, write out what you did the past hour and identify if it aligned with your core values.

Doing this exercise repeatedly will help sharpen your focus. Almost immediately you’ll be able to identify what is not aligning with your values on a daily basis.

This exercise will also show your mind that you are making progress even if you aren’t getting immeidate results. This will quiet the “monkey mind” so you can continue doing the things that will move you closer to your goals.

What to Do Next

Stay patient and trust the process for what you are trying to achieve in your life. Consistent and small steps will lead to huge results in due time.

As the famed motivtional speaker, Eric Thomas said, “Trust the process, don’t rush the process.”

During your journey make sure to focus on the growth over time and take advantage of momentum when it hits!

Intermittent fasting is a recent diet trend that is here to stay. Unlike Paleo, low carb or the keto diet, intermittent fasting every day has tons of benefits for your health and even your mind.

One of the reasons intermittent fasting is so effective is because there is simply less time of the day to eat. With intermittent fasting, you only eat 6-8 hours while most people do the opposite by eating 16-18 hours per day.

Fasting is one of the most ancient healing traditions in human history which has been practiced by virtually every culture and religion on earth.

I’ve been practicing intermittent fasting since the beginning of 2018 and couldn’t be happier with the results.

Here are five ways intermittent fasting can help your mind just as much as your body.

1. Increased Discipline

As,l Jocko Willink said, “Discipline equals freedom.” In any area of life, how disciplined you are, determine how successful you will become.

When you stick to intermittent fasting on a regular basis you are being disciplined by not eating when everyone else is. Some people will scoff when you tell them your plan but it doesn’t matter. As long as you know what you are trying to achieve that’s all that matters.

This discipline to stick to eating during specific hours has poured into my business and fitness routines. Discipline is contagious and fasting can help add some to your life!

Here’s Kerwin Rae talking about how fasting is one of the top 2 life hacks he knows:

2. Better Brain

Once you get past the first few days of your body adjusting to the new eating schedule you will feel more focused, positive, and optimistic than ever before.

A study from the Society for Neuroscience in 2015, revealed that intermittent fasting offers “enormous implications for brain health.” According to the study, IF stimulates the brain in a number of different ways including the growth of neurons, recovery from brain injuries and enhanced memory performance.

There is also evidence to show that intermittent fasting might actually improve both cognitive function and quality of life for people living with those conditions already.

3. Health = Wealth

Unfortunately, people spend too much time on wealth while forgetting about their health during the process. But if you want to be truly successful you have to look out for your health.

Intermittent fasting is a commitment to your mind and body.

4. Improves Spiritual Well Being

Fasting has been practiced throughout history by almost every religion in the world. IF can lead to increase spirituality and I’ve found to have more clarity, peace, and focus during fasting times.

Studies have also shown that fasting can help regulate your mood by reducing stress and anxiety. To me, intermittent fasting can lead to feeling more connected with yourself. This can lead to a more positive outlook on how you see the world.

5. Trust Yourself

How can fasting help increase your confidence?

By making a promise you keep to yourself. Intermittent fasting is a big commitment if you’ve been eating the opposite your whole life but once you switch it becomes second nature.

This commitment, day in and day out, will instill confidence and self respect in yourself.

More confidence equals higher self-esteem and the ability to reach your goals quicker.

Are you ready to try intermittent fasting?

While it may seem like a daunting challenge, fasting is more than doable. Not only can you lose fat and have more energy but you can also gain more clarity on a daily basis.

Whether you can practice intermittent fasting every day or only on certain days, the benefits are endless.

This clarity can lead to more focus, confidence, and ability to push through the hard times to achieve your goals.

We all live in a challenging world. Lots of stress, political and social tension, and exhaustion are just a few things that make our lives overwhelming, along with the constant need to be productive at work.

There’s no surprise that modern people are looking for new lifestyle concepts that could make their lives less stressful and more meaningful.

Many of us are trapped in time. We need to think about the future, we must plan it and constantly analyze things that have already happened, and so we belong to the past.

Sometimes it’s hard to catch the present moment, enjoying your life at this point of time, no matter where you are and what you’re doing.

If you can relate to what’s been described, it means that you could benefit from a secret, that would make your everyday routine a little more comfortable and enjoyable.

The secret that you need is Hygge.

What is Hygge and How Can It Increase Your Productivity

What Is Hygge?

Hygge (pronounced as “hoo-guh”) is a concept that was born in Denmark. A long rainy winter and a cold grey horizon is the typical Danish scene. Nevertheless, the Danish are also known as the happiest nation in the world. They needed to find a way out of depressing thoughts, and the solution turned out to be really simple: One needs to fill every moment with warmth and coziness.

Hygge isn’t a certain thing, it’s a feeling that puts you in a better mood. Think of chocolate, candles, a cozy blanket or your favorite sweater — it’s Hygge, and the Danish manage to create Hygge everywhere, even at work. In this case, Hygge can reduce your stress and make you more productive.

Hygge is sitting around the fireplace with your friends, drinking chocolate and talking about happy moments. Hygge is reading a favorite book and eating tasty food. This concept is all about enjoying life and making it comfortable and pleasant.

It’s about little conscious rituals that make you feel better regardless of what’s happening around you, in fact, you can create a warm and happy atmosphere everywhere. Given that we spend most of our lives working, we definitely need to add more Hygge to our corporate culture that suffers from never-ending stress.

You can increase your productivity by incorporating Hygge in your work. Of course, words like “cozy” or “warm” don’t sound like the first choice when describing the work environment, but let’s distance ourselves from the regular image of the workplace for a minute.

The truth is, you can easily bring Hygge to work, reducing stress, getting more motivation, and increasing productivity.

How to Increase Your Productivity by Incorporating Hygge in Your Life

1. Declutter your desk

First of all, get rid of that mess on your desk. It’s hard to stay productive and focused when your desk is littered with countless papers and notes. Such an environment also causes stress. If you really need so many papers, try to be creative and find a place where you can store them neatly. The main thing is not to see a huge pile of papers that creates a feeling that your work is never going to end.

2. Create a cozy spot

Candles are the best, but if you work in an office, candles are usually not an option. It doesn’t mean that you cannot create a Hygge atmosphere in the office. Make sure you have a cup of tea or coffee and put on a cozy sweater.

If you’re allowed to listen to music, some music can greatly boost productivity & really get you ‘in the zone’.

Another great way to make your workplace more inspiring and peaceful is bringing in some greenery. A few plants will give you a sense of freshness and make you feel grounded.

3. Lighting matters

There’s nothing worse than working in an office without windows. According to a research conducted by Northwestern University in Chicago, workers in offices without windows have more problems with their physical and mental health. They also sleep an average of 46 minutes less at night. Their productivity decreases due to the daytime dysfunction, and their sleep is generally worse.

However, if you cannot find another office with a big and beautiful window, you can still choose better artificial lighting. Make sure your office is bright enough to keep you alert.

We would also suggest choosing warm light, which creates a cozy and calm atmosphere.

4. Make your breaks a Hygge time

Every time you enjoy your coffee break or lunch, it’s a great opportunity to get inspired by Hygge.

Many office workers don’t even leave their desks, eating their lunch while surfing the internet. Such breaks are not actually relaxing.

Try to dedicate this time to yourself and really enjoy your meal. A lunch break is also a great opportunity to talk to your coworkers. According to many studies, our social relationships are crucial for a sense of happiness.

Hygge involves a feeling of togetherness. If you’d rather text or email someone who’s sitting in the other corner of the room, try to talk personally instead and build a a feeling of comradery.

If you want to increase your productivity and to add a bit of happiness to your everyday routine, you need to consider bringing Hygge into your life and to your work.

Enjoy every moment of your life. Make it meaningful by adding the pleasurable little things that make you feel comfortable. And don’t forget: Happiness exists within you!
